Just for the sake of this thread let’s exclude NBA players going to the NFL as receivers/TE’s. Many of them probably could do it so we don’t need to fill this thread with them.

Also these are guys you think could’ve done it, not saying they should’ve done it

My two
1. Steve Nash and soccer
2. Usain Bolt and football, if he had quit track and field when he was 20 and focussed his energy on being a receiver I have no doubt he could’ve. He’s 6’5 207! I bet he could’ve bulked up a little and dominated

It’s tempting to say any world class sprinter could be a WR just based on their speed.

Joe Mauer - basketball/football; was signed to play QB at FSU and was All-State in all three sports.
Tom Glavine - hockey
John Smoltz - golf
Odell Beckham - soccer
Chad Johnson - soccer
Kyler Murray - baseball
Jim Brown - anything
Randy Moss - basketball
Jeff Samardzija - football
Kenny Lofton - basketball
Frank Thomas - football
John Elway - baseball
Steph Curry - golf
Jameis Winston - baseball

I excluded athletes who actually did play multiple sports professionally (Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, Brian Jordan, etc)

LeBron. He's large enough for a TE plus accuracy on long throws would have made him an interesting TE pass option (not to mention an emergency QB).

Pat Riley was drafted by the Cowboys. He chose not to sign and stuck with basketball.

Serious answer would be Byron Buxton as WR, I assume he would Moss fools with regularity

Allen Iverson was a helluva football player in high-school. He definitely could have been a highlight reel at wr or cb.

yeah he was really good
quote:

"Iverson the quarterback passed for 1,423 yards with 14 touchdowns. Iverson the runner gained 781 yards with 15 touchdowns. Iverson the kick returner scored five touchdowns, four on punts. Iverson the defensive back intercepted eight passes."

Played QB and led his team to the state title in football, then led his team to the state title in basketball the same year. He was the AP player of the year in both sports. This was also as a junior. He didn't play either sport his senior year due to that brawl.
