for CBS, Fox, SNF, MNF vs 2016 numbers. Up or down? By what %? The numbers come out Wednesday.

Up this week. If the numbers fall it's going to be next week when the initial uproar is over and people actually do not tune in.

None of these people who say they'll stop watching are gonna stop.
Plus, new people will tune in to see what's up.

Remember when we were all supposed to boycott Chick-fil-A, and they ended up having their best day ever?
This is the same thing.
Boycotts over political outrage don't work.

It's like those old chain emails saying "if everyone avoids the gas stations on _______ date, the oil companies will crumble!"

I didn't watch today and know better than to say I'll never watch again but until something changes I'll watch much less.

No, it's a great example.
Old white dudes love football way too much.

Same result.

This faux outrage is completely over the top and would be hysterical if it weren't so sad

Old white dudes love the flag, people who can't afford to by to buy tickets or expensive arse NFL merch love the NFL. Money always wins

I think this week it will be up, but next week I'd assume it will go down slightly. This shite is exhausting to even listen to at this point. I'm hopeful it just goes away.

Short term maybe a small increase in numbers due to the left wing nut demographic that only due to the controversy will view games for political gain.

When it blows over the numbers will be down measurably and permanently, this will spill over to the college ranks as well.

Football's greatest days are done. The people have spoken.

It's NEXT week that will tell the tale. That will be a much more accurate measure.

The NFL offers brain damaged football players protesting America and then banging into each other in between 5 minute commercial breaks every 5 minutes.

Whether the ratings are up or down this week the long term trend will be down.

If they do drop, it will be next week, wouldn't it? Not the week of the protest. The following week
