I’ve been watching the game since 5 and played the game in high school so I think I have a really good understanding of the game but I really want to learn the technical aspects of the game by position. Is there a book out there that gives a comprehensive review of the game by position and Xs and Os?

TIA.

I hang out there and still can’t make heads or tails of the LSU Score Board on game day.

No idea if it’s online anywhere, but I got to hear Steve Adazio give a clinic talk on offensive line play once that was very good. Best thing to do is learn offensive and defensive line play first since everything in football builds out from there. If you’re a novice and you start researching pattern match coverage schemes off the bat, it could be a bit overwhelming.

Just like a beginner DB coach’s head will explode if you ask him to talk pass protection and run block assignments.

It can all be overwhelming if you don’t begin with the basics, regardless of position

Love this book when I read it last year - Chip earned a starting spot despite adversity and developed lasting friendships and learned many life lessons along the way.

The scene where he got to wear his jersey to school on gameday and got his locker decorated by the cheerleaders really brought back memories
