At the risk of sounding like I am defending Deion (I am not), you could say the same thing about Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss. Obviously the results on the field have been much different lately, but lets face it, without the portal, neither one of those programs is relevant, much less a perirenal playoff contender.

Former Kentucky 4* Vito Tisdale is case and point for that one. Had multiple off the field issues and then Stoops finally booted him off the team. Any guess where he ended up?

Deion is essentially a poor man's Kiffin. You get all the shenanigans without any of the play calling ability. Kiffin is also a clown of a head coach, but can call plays, so that keeps him employed but usually not for very long.

To where? If it's for another coaching job, he might want to actually win first.
