It's stupid but the average IQ of an NFL RB is probably below 90. I actually think the Cardinals guy broke the line with the ball and immediately dropped it so it should of been a TD but still stupid regardless.
You probably shouldn’t be using words like “stupid” and judging the IQ of others.

I also know that I should have, could have, and would have not called someone else stupid.

It's an attitude/cultural thing.
Football existed for 100+ years and it was never really a big issue. It only became a thing over the past 10-15 years.
Nobody ever learns their lesson, it's happened in about 50 high profile games, it hasn't stopped it. You see it multiple times every single season in both the NFL and college. It's clearly bigger issue than just one or two players being dumb.
The mentality towards showboating and celebrating is not something you can easily fix. Players are more thinking about dancing and posing for the cameras than not making a mistake or finishing the player or anything like that.

He definitely did. They got this one wrong.

Dropping the ball too early?

Shout out to TM7 doing it vs Georgia and it not getting called

Still stupid, but I think he controls it when it hits the paint.
Yeah. He extends it to drop it, but it is still firmly in his hand when it crosses the goal line. They got this wrong. Still stupid to even put yourself or your team in that situation when you can just keep running another foot.

But it wasn't firmly IN his hand, it was on his hand, when most would have tucked it between hand and body to keep it secure.
Persuit dude was knocking it loose.

It seems that they show the dances and grimaces as they happen after the TD's, but the chosen replays are of the TDs AND the dances. If the show off dances weren't replayed, it might help foster a "been here before done this as it's my job." attutude.

If I'm an owner, every contract has a clause in it that if a player does this his contract is voided immediately.

Why doesn’t the league fine guys who slow down before going in the end zone? Chase did it yesterday. That move has always seemed so stupid to me.

I’m not a replay official but it looked to me that he had control as the tip of the ball touched the plane of the goal line. Stupid no matter what.
