By the way, apparently Knight has a headset in his suite at Autzen Stadium that allows him to listen to Chip Kelly’s play-calling.

Knight said, “If it was true I couldn't say, huh?”

Q: Why, is it illegal?

A: “No. I just wouldn't want to talk about it ... if it was true.”

Jerry Jones or Phil Knight?

am I retarded for asking that?

I guess Phil Knight wants to be known as Jerry Lite?

I think that's common knowledge if you had an ounce of common sense.

You got to think Oregon commits a shite ton of recruiting violations. All this shite Knight sends their way.

i dunno about that

they get 2nd tier guys from Cali and TX often. guys who the big schools don't really go after

if you're choosing b/w TAMU, TTech, ASU, or Zona, i don't see why Oregon is a bad choice really

This is what happens when you have one booster supporting most the school. In Knights case it hasnt been a bad thing at all for Oregon, but sometimes these guys get way to involved.

Phil Knight and Boone Pickens are probably #1 and #2 as the biggest single boosters to any college program. I know that each has donated in the nine figures to their university (Pickens to Okie St). I doubt that Knight is into any "under the table" type dealings because that doesn't fly on the West Coast at all. Before you bring up Reggie Bush, remember that his family was paid by an agent and not a college booster.

But I wonder how much Nike "donates" to them each year?

Wonder if any of LSU's big boosters have a way to listen to Miles while on his headset? Imagine what those conversations between him or Crowton would be like.

SFP, you need to hit it big and get this thing done so we can put these rumors to rest about this offense.

He has been for a while. He's more powerful than their AD, who he chose to run the place.

They are kind of a test dummy for Nike's product lines. I don't really have a problem with it though; it just means that Nike is a big sponsor. It's not really any different from the Papa John's guy directing enough of his company's money to Louisville to get the name of the new stadium.

Haha yep, that guy. He basically just follows Phil Knight's orders.

Oh yeah. I have no problem with it. Just pointing out that the 9 figures from Phil Knight is a drop in the bucket compared to what Phil Knight's company gives.
