Yes, you refuted him until pressed for several posts to finally admit it was said.
And, there have been others discussing that encounter that reported when Rory said "play better" that he was met with a lot of verbal backlash from other players. Despite what Wesley says, it appears Rory does not have as much support as he once did.

I am literally telling him he is falling for a headline
The entirety of my post was: “Grayson told Rory to frick off”. You chastised me for “falling for a headline” which is a clear implication that the headline is false. You were ignorant to the events and spouted off from that place of ignorance. It’s no big deal. You do it all the time.

So despite what the player actually in the room says, headlines and Twitter says differently so let’s go with that. Ok

Beautiful. Still saying headlines are misleading when the entirely of my post was “Grayson told Rory to frick off”. Thank you for proving me right so clearly and so quickly.

When you tell someone they fell for a clickbait headline, you are saying they didn’t read the article or what happened therefore missing context.
Saying you fell for a headline is 100% not calling the headline false or a lie
Once again, yes or no, did I say Grayson didn’t say it? Yes or no?

Believe what you want. This was actual reporting I saw yesterday, not twitter, not TD.

My statement and the title of the article were that Grayson told Rory to frick off. There is no context needed. It just hurt your feelings because of your strange affinity for Rory.

Yes you did.

Alan Shipnuck with more great insight on what is transpiring...

Anyone that thinks the PGA Tour has remained in control is a fool.

Tour loyalists have been quick to point out that the majority of the seats will be held by the Tour on the reconfigured board of directors of the new supertour. That’s all window dressing. The overarching lesson in this war between the tours is that money always wins. Al-Rumayyan controls the money, so he controls the future of professional golf, even if he is graciously allowing Monahan to be in charge of the day-to-day bureaucracy.
Anyone that thinks the PGA Tour has remained in control is a fool.

You’re smarter than to be so obtuse. If this wasn’t pride, you wouldn’t be engaging us such an idiotic semantics argument.
You know good and well the tweets made it look like there was some huge fight between Rory and Grayson when, in reality, that’s not how it played out according to a player there. Pride was shedding light on that.
You know all this so seriously you two just stfu about it and stop trying to have your “gotcha” moments that aren’t there.
Don’t make me count to 10 you two or you’re grounded

I do like how certain people, who absolutely roasted Shipnuck a little over a year ago, now think his opinion on things is by far the most valuable. Strange how that happens

You’re giving him a huge benefit of the doubt there. My sole statement was “Grayson told Rory to frick off”. I was then insulted and told I was falling for clickbait. It’s Pride. He isn’t the brightest bulb.

I guess it hurts reading his thoughts that go against your stance that the PGA Tour is still in control.

I wonder if we are headed towards all the "elevated events" that were previous scheduled just being LIV events that don't run concurrent with any PGA Tour events.
Huge purses and appearance fees for the biggest names to show up in Dubai, Australia, Japan, etc.

That BoD that pride has been so adamant about meaning the PGA “won” or still controls things has about as much power as Student Government at your local high school.

One thing is certain, PIF is not investing billions to just get profits from the PGA Tour as is. They definitely are thinking going global. Who knows what it might look like.

Says one LIV exec, “Now we can finally get Hideki [Matsuyama] and Jon Rahm. I would say every big name on the PGA Tour will get an offer. Except Rory. Nobody wants that little bitch on their team.”
Welp

But the end result is golf is moving in the direction of Greg Norman’s vision.
A couple events on a different continent in exchange for an endless supply of money seems fine. I don’t think many PGA Tour fans will mind that. If that’s Greg’s vision, then cool.
I just want the golf league called LIV to end. It is not entertaining.

Welp
I’m sure the crown prince would be thrilled with excluding one of the most prominent and biggest draws in all of golf after he spent billions.
For a LIv executive to say that is so childish it’s almost unreal
