With the amount of money they spent and were willing to spend it could have been so much better. Go all in on technology for the broadcast, go to courses we would never get to see pros play on TV. Some of that could be the legacy stuff that was carried over. Instead we get this ridiculous format with Madden 2005 level branding.

Yep. Just don’t laugh in your own players faces when they approach you about a joint venture. Pretty simple.

Saying PIF and LIv are one in the same is so strange

really. Man I wish I could know what you do for a living. It certainly has nothing to do with M&A.

How in the world are they one and the same?

Seriously? You don’t know how in the world the parent company and the wholly owned subsidiary are one and the same when the subsidiary is a merged entity? Is that your final answer? Really?

How are Governor Al-Rumayyan of LIV Golf and the Executive Chairman of the PGA Al-Rumayyan one and the same?
Seems disingenuous coming from you.

I think you were on the “LIV is awesome and refreshing and it works” train.

Now it folds and you’re saying oh, well, yeah LIV won cause the same folks are still fronting the bill and making decisions for some golf.

Were you arguing during any LIV event that Al was winning? No. We know that dude is going to win at everything.

You were rooting for LIV and it sucked and is done and lost. This other thing, Al-Rumayyan and his boys are winning.

No need.

Buy the players and shake up the sport in order to strong arm your way to the table.

LIV was arse and never meant to succeed. It was something else. Just a tool for the rich people to accomplish their goal.

PIF and LIV are not the same.

You will get downvoted but you are one of like 5 posters on this site who actually went to a liv event

Never went to an LIV event. Watched all of them. I do go to 4-6 PGA events each year. Have a very close fiend (in my wedding) player who is on tour.

LIV was actually bad for him. He is radio silent with me on LIV, which means to me it is bad for him. But I enjoyed afternoons on the back patio watching LIV. Can’t imagine being so upset over other mens careers that you denied yourself that.

This isn’t why we didn’t watch LIV each week

LIV was winning long before this merger. Phil wanted to change pro golf. Norman wanted to change pro golf. They changed the PGA tour and today they have the PGA by the economic throat. Plus LIV Golf is still doing exactly what they were doing before this merger began. Not one thing has changed for LIV Golf.

Greg Norman on his own conference call today told the LIV players they weren't going anywhere. Where have you heard that Dustin Johnson or Cam Smith want to come back to the PGA tour? You haven't. More PGA propaganda.

Ok. Valid take. Two years ago when pga tour players approached Monohan and the pga lawyer about a few tournaments that the pros could own 50% of, Monohan and the attorney laughed in their face and said “any tournament not owned 100% by the PGA will be seen as hostile”.

Now the pga doesn’t own 100% of a single tournament. Still a ridiculous take?

So liv took over

So going forward, if the deal goes through, you think most events will be played on LIv courses with 54 holes and it will be run by Greg Norman and staff

That’s certainly a take I guess

This is the most irrelevant of all irrelevant points ever made.

Holy frick. Not a single person, outside of you, is talking about 54 holes vs 72 holes. Is this really the hill you’re dying on?

My god man. I thought we had a good little bit of banter. I even went back to see what idiot posted this. I was disappointed to see it was you.

You’re just not all there are you? I will change how I respond to you. Don t want you to hurt yourself or others.

Honestly man. I will admit you kicked my arse and won every argument if it means you’re ok. I’m gonna back away from these threads. I thought it was banter. Had no idea it was real.

You said LiV is taking over. That would be LIV taking over

LIv management running the new entity via LIv product. So is that not happening?

Or, will the new entity be run by PGA tour management on pga tour venues with pga tour rules?
