Nobody here is doing the same for LIV. Not at all. Just good old neutral posting here

This isn’t hard. The Saudis won. The PGA tour also won. If you deny either of those things you are butthurt

Only losers in the deal are the players with offers to join LIV and passed.

Those players are set to make a shite ton more money. How did they “lose” in the new deal?

The only “losers” potentially from the player angle will be any players that get left out if the tours new structure doesn’t have a place for them.

Rory isn’t very smart and is easily manipulated. Remember, it was fine to play golf with Donald Trump until a few purple-hairs and loudmouths in the sports media gave him hell. Then, he immediately caved and prostrated himself in front of the liberal press begging for forgiveness. So, it’s not like he’s a paragon of wisdom or steadfastness.

Certainly, economically this is true. Do you expect a backlash from fans and players on this sudden new PGA morality? Just doesn't feel that Monahan has survived this yet.

There it is. Figured the Rory hate had to do something with the Maga's not liking him for something he did with Trump.

He's likely not going to survive this and probably shouldn't

I’m starting to fear we aren’t really that close to having all the players together anytime soon. The “deal” sounds more like an idea

Bonds, tell us how easy it would have been for jay and his finances to fend off the Saudi money again if he would have acted right
I don’t think there was a single thing anyone could have done to keep the Saudis from elbowing their way in.

Even if the tour was FLAWLESSLY positioned and Tiger was still playing well and competing for majors every year I’d have to think the same guys go to LIV and start this process.

Too many personalities on tour for everyone to say no to the type of money these people are/were willing to spend to get this result.

There's certainly a massive amount of red tape that will have to be worked through and isn't going to happen over a weekend.

No, and if another man did to me what Monahan just did to Rory and his teammates I would have publicly apologized to the players as their rep. Resign and tell that bum off on my way out.

But that's just me.

When someone comes in and is willing to pay 100s of millions to people, well over market value, you can’t stop it. Period. Golf was always going to the Saudis. Tennis and soccer are next.

Not sure how or when they will take over the rest, but I’m sure it’s not too far away

The boards of the PGA, DP, and Asian Tour still have to approve of this I think. And then I'm sure the government will have a say.

It just shows he's a hypocritical simpleton. If he'd have played with Barry and backed down, I'd still have lost respect for him.

No he isn’t

And I will confidently say LIV lost as far as our early debates about whether LIV was a good enough product to work.

LIV fricking sucked. And the posters who argued it was cool and working are dummies.

How are Governor Al-Rumayyan of LIV Golf and the Executive Chairman of the PGA Al-Rumayyan one and the same?
