agreed

it's close as hell, but Tebow is the difference maker for me

Tebow as a college QB= 1000x better than Sanchez as a college QB

USC has the most athletic, physically gifted team in the country for nearly the past decade. When they are motivated to play in a big game, 99% of teams do not stand a chance -- it is not just a Big 10 thing: they are just the unlucky bastards that have to get embarrassed every year.

And it doesn't hurt that every big game they play is less than 20 miles from their campus. Rose Bowl every year because they play in a shiit conference.

ETA - I bet if we played every big game in Baton Rouge or New Orleans every single year, if we went to the Sugar every year, and Baton Rouge was a top 2 media market, we'd be getting the exact same hype. It's such a f*cking joke.

USC is the best team in CFB and the Big10 is a joke.

Same thing for LSU in BCS games.

Wrong.

UF has better SKILL position players THIS YEAR. Guys like Demps, Harvin, Rainey > USC skill players.

USC has a MUCH better defense, ESPECIALLY the defensive line. USC also has a better OL and I would give them the edge at LB as well even though UF has Spikes and Doe (two ALL-SEC caliber guys).

I give UF the advantage at CB by a hair, but safety goes to USC (Mays > Wright at this point in their career. Ahmad Black for UF is a 3rd stringer that was forced into starting).

If USC is soooo damn good why are they not in the National Championship game?

Because they really are not all that. They play in a weak conference and still cannot beat everyone in it, and then match up with weak opponenets in bowl games. FUSC.

USC is good, no doubt. NC good, no. They play weak teams and look excellent but if they played UF they would be crushed, OU would be a close game.

they played a weaker schedule, which does not necessarily equate to being a worse team

Exactly and still managed to lose, so maybe they aren't as good as crooked nose claims.

they played a weak schedule and were not noticeably impressive during that schedule

I the system we have now, getting to the NC game does not matter who is on fire late (see LSU last year). It is an evaluation of an entire year. You can argue Texas had a better year than OU, but they did not win their conference. You can argue at the end of the year last year, there were teams playing better than LSU, but LSU had the better all around year. That's what counts until we get a playoff.

I'll never feel sorry for USC as long as their conference and their in-laws in the Big 10 sandbag even the idea of a plus 1.

their lose is pretty much equivalent to florida's, maybe not as bad since they were on the road

I get tired of everyone comparing losses. You have to look at wins also.
