pedro's time of dominance wasnt as long as maddux and that is not what I am arguing. His peak was possibly the best in baseball history

wins are not a way to judge a pitcher. Since you dont know jack shite, you dont understand that. Like I said earlier, maddux was dominant longer but peak performance was pedro.

Career, Maddux

In their prime, Pedro. And I say that as a huge Red Sox and Pedro hater.

Pedro from 97-03 was frickin sick.

'97 - 1.9 ERA and 305 Ks
'99 - 2.07 ERA and 313 Ks (13.2 K/9 ) in the AL
'00 - 1.74 ERA and a 284/32 K/BB ratio in the AL

Maddux was great, but I don't think any recent pitcher can compare to how dominant Pedro was in 1999 and 2000. If he got to face a pitcher 3 times a game, his numbers would have been even more insane

I will never in my life forget Pedro as the starting pitcher in the all star game. He just mowed down the NL's best like they were in little league. It was truely a thing of beauty!

Is that the same guy the called the bambino? No thats not it. Was he a left hander for the giants that broke the home run record? Maybe. Of course I have heard of him you dumb frick. Pedro did this in the PEAK of the steroid era. That counts alot in my book. I didnt say the best, I said possibly one of the best.

there are some major retards in this thread. The NL was a better league in the early to mid 90's when Maddux was dominant.

Maddux put together one of the most impressive careers ever. He's also arguably the best fielding pitcher of all time.

People act like Pedro spent his whole career with the Sox, when in fact he spent the majority of his career in the NL

The original question asked about in their primes? Not career. So in that aspect I would take Pedro. If we said career then the answer would change
