FWIW, this is what an SEC/Big 10 agreement would have looked like. This was proposed by a Cleveland writer back in '07. I thought it was an amazing idea

good idea, there is also a lot of smoke that michigan and notre dame are going to take a break from the series so this news corresponds with that.

That makes scheduling easy for USC.
Nine conference opponents,
Notre Dame, Big 10 team "X" and
one mystery opponent.

Id like to see 2 games a year be between BCS schools from another conference. If we're going to pretend the regular season is a playoff and vote on who the best teams are, we need more common opponents.

If Big 10 team X is consistently Ohio State, Wisky, Michigan or Nebraska...then "mystery" opponent better consistently be San Jose State.

This could make the regular season pretty awesome. It strengthens the Rose Bowl and BCS though.

BCS haters should not like this, it solidifies the B1G/Pac12/Rose Bowl circle jerk.

Or it's a sign that Delany and Scott foresee the Rose Bowl being integrated into a playoff system or plus 1 at some level and want to maintain a yearly presence

Any particular reason why?

Yeah I thought a few years ago they had signed some big arse 20 year agreement to keep playing each other or something?

I remember cause when reported the guy on ESPN said the stars of the last game in that agreement hadn't even been born yet.

Scott yes. I just don't see Delany letting it happen under his watch. He strikes me as the kind of guy that if all 12 B1G schools tell him they are willing to give up the Rose Bowl for some kind of playoff he will just retire and let the next B1G commish handle that.

Didn't realize it included Basketball too.

So is the B1G-ACC Challenge gone then? (didn't read the article)

Wow...which school gets lucky with Indiana and vice-versa Colorado?

They should make Colorado-Nebraska yearly

Delany comes off as a douche and one of the most outspoken opponents of anything related to a playoff in any format

In 2002, Wash State and tOSU would have had a rematch, but tOSU made it to the BCS CG Fiesta Bowl instead.

I like the idea and would maybe love it if:

a.) it was rotating home and home
b.) as long as the opponents rotate.

For example,

I'd like to see the SEC and ACC do this:

2012: LSU @ Miami, FL
2013: Miami, FL @ LSU
2014: Clemson @ LSU
2015: LSU @ Clemson
2016: NC State @ LSU
2017: LSU @ NC State

the way i see it, it should be a two year thing so everyone gets a home game in the agreement

year one michigan state might host washington, then year two would travel to utah

random matchups like that
