so there is no way possible that with all of Mikes other faults he couldn't have been a hypocrite too?

Bringing up Vick's brother at all is totally asinine.

I know, maybe Roethlisberger's siblings should be taking some of the blame for whats going on in his life right now

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but Mike went to jail. Ben not so much.

this is going to go all over the place I think

bottom line was I personally began to think less of what kind of person Vick was before the dog fighting stuff became public.

It was the combination of Vick being in several embarassing incidents (ron mexico, flipping off fans, marijuana container at the airport) that was part of it. The other part of his personal behavior was whenever someone criticized his play as a QB... he never took that criticism as part of the job or seriously tried to change/improve as a QB... he always just took it personally and had a FU response to whoever posed the question.

And yes of course I judged him in part for his brother's behavior. When younger brother started messing up including having violent incidents it reflects poorly on him.

Ideally Vick would have been a better role model who lacked the personal issues I listed above. Because he was not and because he tends to react defensively to any criticism he was not able to see what was in his brother's best interest and help him through being a role model and providing tough love for the situation IMO

Does that speak poorly of Vick? Yes, it's kinda sad really but it obviously does

Then WTF are you crushing Mike for when it comes to his little brother?

Because everything always leads back to Vick... his fault....Hell, this started about Big Ben's raping arse...but it ended up being a referendum on Vick....One of the most polarizing figures in sports history(even without the dog charge)....Why is that?

Economy in the tank?...Vick's a thug
Tiger Woods is a ho....He got that shite from hanging out with Vick!!
Crime is up.....Vick did it!!
John Edwards cheated on his ailing wife.....I saw he and Vick last night shooting people the bird!!!

You want to hate cause of dog fighting, weed and flipping off fans fine go ahead.

You blame him for the actions of his adult brother?? To me that means you are just looking for reasons to not like him and not being rational about it at all.

But that is so fricking stupid. Mike Tyson's older brother is a doctor is he a thug? Big Ben's sister is a women's basketball player is she a potential rapist? It would be one thing if Michael and Marcus lived together but one was in ATL the other in VA.

The definition of a thug is taking a 20 year drunk girl in the bathroom and fricking her while your bodyguard holds the door shut.

And thats his best case scenario

I don't blame him for his brother's actions. His brother was still an adult responsible for the bad behavior.

I do think it reflects poorly on him tho... and aren't you sad for them both when he obviously couldn't see how to help him?

Dude wasted a lot of potential when he got into trouble

I'm not sad for either one of them. They both had chances in life greater than the average person, and squandered them both.

Maybe there was no way to help him? You can talk and talk and talk all you want but you can't make someone listen

he shouldn't be suspended but I'm starting to think he will be

Yeah he should THis is a payoff deal and there isn't any prosecution simply because the girl didn't want charges to go forward and the evidence was weak. If yo think he is totally innocent you are full of it. Goodall knows what is happening and will beat the shite out of Big Ben, you can get on that.

Probably will not get but a game or two suspension though.
