Over 800 Combined Punt yards

Have 2 teams ever combined for over 800 yards punting like the Vikings and Raiders just did?!

It does happen every few years. The NFL record for combined punt yardage is 1,075
What is more remarkable is the single game record for one punter-- 709 yards on his own.

The Giants/Jets game back a few weeks ago on October 29th of this year featured 24 punts for a combined 1,078 punt yards.

FSU and Louisville combined for 18 punts but only managed 740 yards.

2,625 combined punting yards
Of the 77 punts, 4 were blocked and 14 were fumbled. But despite that, the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Did they even run a play that wasn't a punt? I mean, how do you punt 77 times in a game and have time to run anything else?

They did not. This was back in the era where offenses couldn’t drive and punting gained field position, so they basically punted back and forth hoping the other team would drop the ball
