What years has Sproles done it?
Eh "cuz" never had more than 343 rushings yards before last year never had more than 520 receiving yards before last year. 59 catches was previous high so where did he do it before?

I know because you are doing plenty to hurt your own argument, I don't need to help it

Well, in reality the 4000 yard thing probably is a pretty good indicator of good qbs in today's NFL. Obviously its not the end all be all and there will be exceptions, but its a decent indicator.

you mean they relied on one of the best backs in NFL history to take the bulk of the carries?

Last year was obviously his best since he broke the All-Time NFL record for yards.

He's been an explosive open-field playmaker since his 3rd season in the NFL. One of the best 3rd down/explosive backs in the league. I don't think many people who actually watch football would argue that. Its why we let Reggie walk

TD/INT ratio
Completion percentage
Then red zone efficiency would be bigger than yards IMO

I'd say if Alex Smith threw for like 4500 yards and 40 tds your argument concerning him and sproles would be relevant. Sproles obviously will have to continue to produce to be continue to be considered good, but he did a hell of a job last season.

Ah homerism at its finest, so in other words he has never had a season close to that to be considered "elite" before. So in other words he had a great season... Which is what I stated that got your panties in a wad

they were terrible at putting the ball in the endzone. 11 in pts/game while making 11 more field goals then the next closest team

you gave him a backhanded compliment. He had an elite season. By the way you judge Alex Smith, he must have became an elite player

I never saw one niner fan on here until last year. And most saints fans I personally know have been for years. Seems to me most of you were niners fans when they were good with young and Montana, you went into hiding after that, and you magically show up when they are good again. The fact that most of you are lsu fans just makes me laugh. I guess lsu was good enough for y'all but since the saints weren't doing too hot you all figured you'd be front runners with the niners.

Been a Niners fan since 2004 (I'm from London originally, no geographical ties). I watched fricking Rattay, Dorsey (he was ok actually), Pickett, Smith throw like 10 picks and one TD, David fricking Carr?

I've also been posting on NFL message boards about that long. Awful lot of lifelong, diehard, dyed in the wool, Saints fans just popping up all of a sudden.

I think he is just reaching potential he is 28 a time when most players peak. You will probably see more yards and touchdowns this season as offense "opens" up.

Well, the same guys seem to continue to pop up whether you are using yards, completion pct, etc. Kinda hard to throw for 4000 yards if your completion percentage is shitty or your td/int ratio is bad because you'll probably end up getting pulled.

Oh I agree. I never said the saints didn't have some bandwagon fans. Trust me I know they do. And if you have been a fan since 04 that post really wasn't directed towards you.
