Not true. Have you followed my posts since we got. Verlander?,i never stopped believing. I was leading the charge in the stadium when we went down 4-0 in game 5. I call it like I see it. I saw a winner after we got JV.

By your style, I mean the fluctuating emotions throughout the season lol

But you nailed the 4-0 hole. I was about ready to jump off a bridge with Kershaw on the mound

I’m just glad I don’t have to spend an entire season trying to defend Ludlow. On August 1, I figured that would be the case

It would be interesting and I wouldn't hate it. I want to make one move for a bullpen guy who is relatively proven, or at least as proven as a reliever can be. I think a LH is a must which is why I think Jake McGee makes sense

I think that will be the deciding factor. Is anyone willing to give him decent starter money when he has proven he cannot stay healthy (in that role)

Did you see what BMac got from the Dodgers or Hill?

As a SP teams will throw more at him

Even Evoldi got 2 million to not pitch in 2016, a semi healthy successful SP will get 7+ a year

I’ve never been so pumped to talk off-season baseball.

We get to take the best team in baseball and make it even better while also having a potential stud OF and Starting Pitcher just waiting on the call to Houston mid season.

Maybe a Mark Reynolds or Logan Morrison type DH or do you think they go versatile/young

They axed the low average big strikeout HR guys for the most part for this season and that was a big part of the success. Castro, Gomez, Rasmus and Valbuena out in favor of McCann, Reddick, Bregman and Yuli. Springer lead the team with 111 strikeouts. So I'm not sure if Reynolds (who's success of late is largely Coors Field Driven...check the splits) or Morrison as low average high K guys fit the model

I'm certain the bartender behind the Crawford boxes was lacing my art cars with Cocaine. I bought a few and most got spilled in celebrations.got home and had all my money in my pocket. Something happened. At one point after the altuve Homer it was a giant melee and I lost my hat in the scrum. I look up and the bartender had it on LOL. She was insane back there. The custodian guys were hugging us and jumping up and down.

Well Seattle turning down a 10 million dollar option is pretty eye opening to me.

But you are definitely right he could very well be out of our price range for what we are willing to pay for a bullpen arm

I agree with that. And they aren't lacking for power. I have no idea who fits the mold of the player I described earlier, but I don't they will be looking only at vets like they were last offseason when it was between Beltran and Matt Holliday. I think Beltran kind of showed them the way this year on how to be a professional plus they still have McCann.

I almost went downtown to Biggio’s to watch that game but didn’t. I bet it was absolutely insane

As for the bullpen, I agree we need to upgrade. I'm also hesitant to throw big money at relievers. They're so volatile year to year. We rewarded Sipp's success with 3/18 and he's been complete arse for $6 million a year.

Both of those guys even with K's would provide more than what Beltran did year (on the field not locker room) while they have shifted an affordable player can always be brought in.
This FA class is weak on hitters

I don’t think we will try to acquire a DH bat when we could give Gattis more time at DH and carry a different backup catcher. Left field is where my interest is. How much time does Marwin get there with our infield pretty much settled and how much goes to Jake/Fisher? I’m gonna write something up for the offseason thread this weekend probably.

I would go with the young guys and use the DH to give players a rest. McCann can DH, Marwin, etc to give their body a rest. Maybe bring in one of those 1B/DH/OF guys as a pinch hitter (Lind is available)

Don't the Astros have a kid in the minors that is MLB ready, an OF'er?
