From the same article:
quote:

Oregon coach Chip Kelly said he would review the game film before making a decision on Blount's future. "I did not see anything. I will see it on tape and make a decision on what we need to do with him," Kelly said. "There is no place for that. I do not condone that. I will make that decision if that is the case."

i would imagine they would give Oregon the oppurtunity to do it themselves, and if they were not happy with the punishment, then they would step in.

Kelly better see the edited footage cause if he watches everything we did no way the dude deserves to be on team.
Imagine if a player on LSU acted like that and went after a Ole Miss player, then Ole Miss fans, then on a teammate.

"I just apologize to anyone watching that," Blount said. "I just apologize to all of our fans and all of Boise's fans. That's something I shouldn't have done. I lost my head." Rumors even swirled afterward the Blount would be arrested, but Oregon sports information director Dave Williford said that talk was "absolutely false." "Our position is that we have full confidence in the NCAA that they're going to address that. As far as from a criminal standpoint there's nothing that I'm aware of that we're doing," Lt. Bryan Hagler of the Boise Police Department told The Associated Press.

Horse shite. This kid is not sorry for what he did, and he knows it.

This is some PR shite that the university made him say to not make them look as bad.

If I'm Kelly, I publicly chastise Blount over the punch, the lunging at fans, the scuffling with cops.

If I'm Kelly, I privately tell Blount to go frick himself for laying his hands on another Oregon player.

From my perspective, regardless of what the guy said to him - Blount did more damage to Oregon's image than he did to Hout. It just brought a new pathetic low to an already humiliating defeat for that school. If I were the coach, I'd kick him off the team just for that.

i think thats what is going to be the thing that gets Oregon to show him the door. plus the way he was throwing himself around while that coach was trying to hold him back. i would imagine there arent going to be alot of people in the locker room that are going to want him around anymore

Yup. There couldn't be a more negative day for the program. This is a recruiting killer when they were starting to put together a good class

You can't honestly think they're going to lose recruits over one guy getting into a fight. FSU and Fla used to get into fight all the time before games, never affected recruiting one bit.

Getting destroyed with horrible coaching and then that is brutal when all of their recruiting in out of state. It would be different if they were loading up on Oregon talent

One game isn't going to ruin they're recruiting class.
