It's funny to me that some Tiger fans think this is a non story. It's already been documented that LSU paid Lyles for his "recruiting services" as well, so I'm not sleeping on this article.

is this another time where oregon will forfeit some games(which means nothing), and dock a scholarship or two(pretty much means nothing) and be done with it?

Dontae Williams, Darron Thomas, Blake Cantu and LaMichael James, Lache Seastrunk, and Josh Huff.

Oregon RB Dontae Williams granted release from the team
February 18th, 2011 by Jesse (Max) Price
The Oregon Ducks had two top-15 running back talents in last year's recruiting class. However, on Friday, head coach Chip Kelly granted Dontae Williams a release from the team. Williams plans on transferring to pursue football at a different school.

Williams joined the Ducks last summer, and quickly surpassed heralded recruit Lache Seastrunk as the team's top freshman running back. He even traveled with the team early in the season as he redshirted and provided the Ducks with a bruising runner in practices.

Williams dressed down as well in case Oregon lost a player to injury. Late in the fall, however, Kelly stopped having him in uniform.

Good to see you on the board. Hope you're well! I bet it's fun having Lache so close to home. I imagine you're much more into Baylor football than a few years ago...

Dignan, it's not that Oregon paid for Lyles' services that's gotten them in trouble. It came out that the information the Ducks received was grossly outdated, thus the allegation that they simply paid him for his influence with several Duck big time recruits. From what I recall, it's not against NCAA rules to pay a recruiting service in & of itself.

Something has to change. Coaches can cheat and then leave with no penalty while the school and players have to eat shite

Actually I could see Chip having the same penalties as Tressell did when he got to the NFL. And if he were to en up with a shoe cause put on him by the ncaa it would start once he was hired by a college team, not once the punishment is announced.

one team actually gets hammered from the dirtiest conference.

Is this the conference with USC and Oregon in it?

Yeah, but we didn't get any players from him, so the LSU payments are "legit".

No way Ole Miss is clean right now. Shady as hell. That said, if they can win a BCS game ( ) only to have it taken away 4 years later, you think their fans will give a shite?

Yeah, crazy world.

This is like hammering Martha Stewart and turning a blind eye to the mafia. One is well-organized, systematic cheaters, who have paid off the authorities.

The other is a glamor mogul - so a bust will make headlines.

What do you want the NCAA to do? Force the NFL to not hire coaches?

Yes that's what I want but I know it will never happen. When the NFL suspended Sean Payton and Greg Williams weren't they forbidden to coach college? And I'm not sure but wasn't there some issue with Tressel going to the Colts after his suspension?

You dumb motherfricker. Jesus. That might've been the dumbest thing I have ever read. Do you know what is in Oregon? I'll let you google it.

I would think so. How did Oregon just happen to have MJ's shoes when Lache visited.
