this. I'm not downgrading what they are doing. I'm just saying. You won't win a championship this year. Defense will prevail and you will lose again.

You don't get to omit a year where 2 SEC teams outplayed the whole rest of the country. OK state had their chance, they lost to Iowa State.

If you don't think Alabama was the best team to play LSU then you are an idiot. And LSU was the best team in the regular season.

Defense is the truth. Which is why Oregon has been working like hell to be as good on that side as the offense. They've made a lot of strides and 2010 proves that. They are getting better recruits to go along with the great coaching.....on both sides of the ball.

A BCS championship is in their future.

That is a dumb argument man, come on. Heisman isn't about how good of a potential NFL player someone is. It is about their college accomplishment.

Are you going to argue that Tebow wasn't one of the greatest players to play the QB position in college?

The heisman goes to the most outstanding player of the year in college football. Not the best pro prospect.

such a flawed statement. Name the last shitty QB to win either a National Championship or a Super Bowl? In the last 3 years here are your Championship QBs?

Eli Manning
AJ McCarron
Aaron Rogers
Drew Brees
Cam Newton
Greg McElroy (Fact: Bama doesn't win if McCoy doesn't get hurt)

POint is it takes a good QB to win a Championship.

Don't take what I'm saying as a slight to Oregon. Like I said they are the best non SEC team in the country. They may very well be the best in the country; what I'm saying is national perception is that you have to prove that you are better. The SEC has done so for so long that the SEC is given the benefit of doubt.

ESPN and the media can hype Oregon all they want! It's the same ole shite, a fast offense with smallish, speed players that have to have space to operate. LSU dismantled them last season and it will happen again the first physical defense they run across!! I don't know why people always hype these clowns!!

Also Oregon shut down Cam Newton like no one in the SEC could.

Or rather, they left Cam as the scapegoat defensive threats.

Did you not watch the game?

Auburn GAMEPLANNED for Cam to be shutdown.

Oregon focused on Cam in their schemes, throwing spies at him, and the rest of the team got the points.

If they tried to shift away from Cam on the fly, he made them pay.

I've got no problem with that. I agree. If LSU isn't in I want Oregon to beat whatever SEC team they're facing. Oregon won't get credit until they knock off the SEC. FACT.

LOL. He was perfect for that system surrounded by superior athletes. Again the pros proved what happens when that window to throw the ball gets a lot smaller. It's the same reason you dont see Oregon QB's have success in the pros.

Just because you can't win with a "shitty" QB doesn't mean that offense plays as big a role.

Case in point, look what we did to Oregon with a subpar QB.

I have some family ties to Oregon and root for them when they don't play LSU.

I also kind of enjoy watching a team that is a complete 180 from LSU.

Dont know about dismantled. Oregon dominated LSU in every stat except the one that decided the game and that was turnovers by the true freshman playing his first college game. That was the most points and yards LSU gave up all of last season. Keep that in mind.

You are dreaming if you think OSU would have stood a chance against EITHER LSU or Bama last year.

The rematch only happened because those two teams were THAT good, and OSU opened the door when they lost to a 30 pt dog.

Just think if someone(OC) ran that type of offense at LSU with the athletes LSU have on offense. Along with the defense it would be lights out for anyone in the country, but we have to have ole doofus as a head coach!

I don't understand what point you are trying to make. I point out one of the best players in college football, who dominated almost every SEC defense he played against while at Florida; and you compare him to guys at Oregon who didn't accomplish anything at all.

In the NFL the current look is that offenses win, so the difference between college and the NFL is pretty big right now. I just don't think I understand what you are getting at. Great in college at anything doesn't mean you will be great on the professional level.
