Where do you think all of these large, physical specimens are that can manhandle a suspect into submission? A cop’s job sucks. How many people were killed in your line of work last year? There were 48 cops killed by criminals last year and 56 the previous year. Cops can’t afford to play around with a criminal who is fighting with them.

the cop shot bc the man was going in his car and the cop didn’t know if he was grabbing a weapon. That’s why it is justified imo. That makes it ok at that point.
At the same time, if the cops weren’t pussies and did their job correctly, it woulda never got to that point. They woulda apprehended the fella before he got to reaching inside his car.

He thinks the cops should wrestle a knife wielding violent felon to the ground while adsorbing stab wounds. He thinks they should at least let a couple cops die instead of having to use force against a multiple violent criminal. At his pace and theoretical procedure the police force would be overrun in a week.

Imagine having a cop the size of LeBron to peacefully handle a Jacob Blake. There is a league full of guys as big as LeBron in that NBA bubble. Those guys need to be #morethananathlete.

There you go lying again. A cop should always be able to protect his own life with lethal force. When you got 4 cops and one perp and you can’t contain him and you gotta shoot, that is piss poor police work. They all gotta Go find another job if it was up to me.

We gonna raise the pay and the requirements. We gonna get a higher caliber of person as our baseline police officer. It won’t be hard to fill positions.

I am a pretty solid police work expert. I am pretty good with this stuff. I support all of the capable good policeman. I also feel like we gotta weed out the weaklings. The ones who have to shoot when it should have never got to that point.

I’m honestly enjoying the discussion because i saw you admit that in the Blake case the shooting was likely probable. That’s show’s we can at least discuss the issue. 
So instead of defunding the police we are going to give them more money? Boy, this NBA boycott really did work.
I disagree. People with options don’t want a job where 50 people a year are killed just for attempting to do their job. And then if you act quick enough to save your own life and have to put down a suspect, the Atlanta DA is going to charge you with first degree murder.

No you aren’t, the guy was tased multiple times and it didn’t phase him. Ever been tased? Ever seen someone tased? I have up close by a woman’s personal protective taser and you ain’t shaking that off unless your pain receptors are blocked and this guy got hit with multiple police issue tasers. If between that and the knife you can’t understand why they couldn’t subdue him you’re either stupid or dishonest period.

You trying to put everyone in the same little box at your convenience. Doc rivers say just the other day that we need to increase funding for police. I agree. Give them all body cameras. that will make it easy to determine where the fault lies in these kinda situations.
