dude..im not usually an a-hole, but you should just stop posting about hands...prob. forever..i just read the posts from last night..and LOL..you know very little about how to play the game..i think you would make a better poker fan, than a poker player..
also, i would suggest watching maravichlsu play tourney poker that is, if any of you(minus 1 or 2 of you) would like to get better..he plays a really good taggy style, that has won him alot of money in online tourneys the last 2 years..
.i was thinking about doing something similar for some of my friends with me multi-tabling a few cash games, but i play cashgames so off the wall, that it would be hard to explain what i was doing..

you are terrible..limp with 67 soooted...LOL..i loved that part...
you know, it's kinda hard to play "small ball" poker when the average stack on the table is like 12bb's..

You did say that him open raising a suited connector was "stupid"
As long as your stack and the opponents stacks behind dont force you into calling a 3bet shove then no open raise is stupid, EVER. No matter what 2 cards you have.
As long as stack size permits, you can never criticize someone for open raising. I havent seen the hand history but your statement that you would just limp and him raising was "stupid" reflects poorly on you poker intellect.

Can you guys stick to gaying up just 1 of Blanoix's 10+ page poker threads at a time?

quote:like i said, different playing styles. I never said i would NEVER raise with it, not often. you talk like raising with suited connectors every time you have them is normal.

quote:i did, to get under his skin. i questioned his raise then he wants to beat me up. it wasn't a stupid raise for the situation. chip leader playing the big stack, i get that.

quote:fwiw i joined the room after his raise, didn't have that info. and again, i said it was stupid to piss him off even more for being a complete douche.

different playing styles
It has nothign to do with your "style" Open limping into the pot is BAD. Sure occasionally you can limp to trap but to open limp a suited connector or any other hand is not good tournament poker.
Sounds to me like you "style" is similar to playing bingo. Limp/call and hoping to flop the nuts = playing bingo

i would gladly get back into poker if I had nothing better to do with my life. I've said a million times i cashed out my roll.

also i laugh because of all of these "good" poker players think that one HU match would solve anything. If he's better than me it's because
A) I haven't played serious poker in a year and a half
and
B) he would only have a slight edge (since he is just a mediocre tourney donk who would get raped in good cash games)
that slight edge would be practically meaningless in one HU match.

The only thing you keep coming up with are excuses not to play him. I could care less one way or the other but stop calling someone out when its obvious you have no intention to back up your word.
