Back to the topic, I personally think Rose is marginally better right now, but they are pretty damn similar players.

I'm in this camp as well.

Lol ... No Boozer can sometimes hit a shot if u leave him alone , he cannot create in the mid range. He is best under the basket bro

rose definintely took the first step in the competition to develop a consistent outside shot (between the 2)

their FG/FT/3PT% is almost identical (as is their age)

rose took a lot more 3s than westbrook (ovre 3x more), which is in westbrook's favor (neither are great 3PT shooters)

rose has a slight edge in TO/game (3.4 to 3.9)

westbrook gets double the steals (which is crucial for their offense)

and for everybody who says westbrook plays out of control...did you realize rose was taking 6.9 3/s per game in the playoffs? he's hitting an amazing clip of 25.8% of them, too

well, stats don't agree

Rose has never been a 3 pt shooter, everyone talks about how tough Tom Thibodeau is but allowing Rose to keep launching them in the playoffs no less is inexcusable.

Good homework SFP...

In my book the defensive effort Westbrook provides on top of the O effort makes him a slight edge to me...some of that is coaching, though...

Additionally, for as little as KD touched the ball, he had 5 turnovers...the grizz are giving him fits

that's what I said.
I didn't say Westbrook was better. But Rose is overrated right now. And Westbrook is underrated.

That said, I acknowledge that Durant didn't get open open. But how is it that he manages to get open for 30 a game and they can't get the ball to him in crunch time?

I'm not criticizing Westbrook only. I'm criticizing the staff. I'm criticizing KD.

That last play that Westbrook took the fall away jumper was designed for Durant. Sure KD didn't get open open. But give him the second. Call another timeout. Get him the fricking ball in a position he can use his length to get the shot or the foul.

And yes slo, KD will have off nights. But he's the best scorer on that team. I'm sorry. It's not even close. And he might not be getting the separation you want, but i'm blaming the coaching staff for drawing up shitty plays.

He needs to touch the ball on that last shot. It's something that the Thunder haven't quite figured out yet. Settling on getting it to Russell.

If the Celts can find a way to get Allen open for a 3 in the end of games, than the Thunder can find a way to get Durant.

a little better than 1/4 rate, and he's taking 7 a game is just horrible

and yes, westbrook has durant. but there is no other option in their normal rotation

perkins, ibaka, and thabo = all defense and nothing on offense

at least rose has deng/boozer in his rotation. lesser talent, but twice the quantity

KD turning the ball over twice at the end of the 2nd OT should have shut everyone up about who touches the ball

There's no way that you can say that Westbrook is a better defender than Rose.

dude he was like 5/14 in regulation

if he drove, he got fouled. he hit his FTs also. that's how he got points.

but he didn't drive enough, and he settled for fadeaways and 3PT (that he didn't hit)

he's had an off series

but i'm blaming the coaching staff for drawing up shitty plays.

they don't really have "plays" with westbrook and durant out there by themselves

perkins, ibaka, and thabo pretty much suck dick at everything on offense, including setting up plays

brooks is sacrificing offense for defense, but the grizz aren't letting the thunder get fast breaks and are denying durant in the iso game. that leaves westbrook as the ONLY offensive option (when harden isn't in)

they have rondo, pierce, and kg all working to get allen that shot. the thunder don't have these pieces

neither are great defenders and both rely on the defensive-minded teammates (esp shot blockers) to help them

That's supposed to be Durant's shot. The plays are designed for him.

Then why doesn't he get open?
