Well, obviously not all games can be a rivalry game between two virtual all-star teams. But if you watched the Caps-Pens game on Super Bowl Sunday, you saw a similar kind of game.

I will say this is pretty close to playoff hockey. Obviously, the average NHL team is not as loaded as these teams, but I think the intensity is higher even in the playoffs.

Keep attacking when we get the chance... Rafalski 2 goals / Miller playing really well.

That is unsustainable. If Canada continues to control possession, they will win this game. I wish I could get CORSI stats for this, but I'm sure they are brutal.

My 2 cents worth for the first period.

A. Never seen Marty B act so arrogant or whatever in net.

B. USA kept coming back and shutting off a Canadian runaway train.

C. Canada is feeling the Torino pressure again.

D. This crowd is electric.

E. Miller is standing on his head, hope he doesnt have to continue this.

yea, hockey is a lot like soccer in my mind

regular ho hum hockey/soccer is unwatchable for me, but elite olympic/world cup level play with great talent and skill is great to watch

A Pressure from the fanbase on the glacier is building for a goalie change to Luongo

B US counteract game is their key. Absorb and counter

C Pressure will become stiffening for the entire CDN olympic team if tonight turns sour... today was suppose to be a multi medal (if not multi gold day) and it turned into one silver. The second half sets up well for the canucks, but it has been very difficult start... and this hockey team chokeness for 4 periods is really weighing.

D Always will be on the glacier

E He will have to continue. Canada is going to dominate play on home ice... it is how the US deals that is relevant

I like the US's forechecking so far a lot. And their overall aggressiveness in the offensive zone. Both goals were caused by that. The US is working hard along the boards, and it's paying off.

This game almost seems like it's gonna turn into a US/Spain Confed Cup game, if any one remembers that.
