Let the trash talking begin…
Lu Dort is a dirty bitch
You stole a team from Seattle, won a title 17 years later, and pretend like you are God’s gift to the NBA
OkC’s best player in franchise history is known for bolting town and winning on Steph Curry’s coattails
SGA is an unentertaining flopper
Mark Daigneault looks like a mentally challenged Michael Cera
5 Larry O’Briens > 1

Spurs got the best of Thunder in reg season but there’s a lot of banter about who was full strength and who was trying hard and who was sizing up opponent for a - at the time - future playoff matchup potential.
Are you not aware what this looks like? Why put this in your post? It’s cope and so unbelievably biased. For a team that just won a championship and is having a great run again I’ve never seen a fan base be so terrified of another team. A team that’s won nothing btw. Why is there zero confidence in your fan base?

How you concluded that shows just how batshit crazy you are. Go back to soccer board where you belong dumbass

The truth often elicits these types of responses but only from emotionally stunted and guilty people who have zero self control or awareness…
Oh and you didn’t answer my question so you evaded as well proving my point that you guys have no confidence. False bravado, sure but zero confidence in your team.

I assume this is just reserved for the OKC fans on here. They’re so “look at me.” Your team won a title. Just give the double bird and tell everyone else to suck it. You had the best record in the West and are arguing about the strength of regular season wins in a league where so many regular season games are bullshite anyway?

Oh and never been on a soccer board but congrats on the melt and confirming my point.

Yes, if you notice they’re always posting as if they’re trying to convince themselves of what they’re saying. A lot of bandwagon fans, ignorant to basketball in general and overall just very insecure. Especially considering what their team has done and how healthy the franchise is.

Again, you have zero reading ability. I’ll spell it out Spurs fans have been saying their reg season wins means they roll over OKC. I say they are full of piss and vinegar and Thunder will show them in playoffs what the real deal is. Reg season means squat the playoffs are a whole new season.
SA could stretch it to 6 games and NBA could help to make it 7 for money. But make no doubt Thunder win this series.
I know one thing you have no clue about NBA. You only troll post. And I meant go back to movie thread its that other soy troll who posts on soccer board got you two mixed up its easy to do since neither adds any value to NBA threads. The time you post an actual intelligent NBA post will be your first.

OKC in 5 or 6. Spurs can win if SGA or Chet gets hurt.

Making up terms now and still won’t address my original post but continue to melt proving that it’s true.

I know everybody says this every year about some playoff matchup but this really does feel like the actual NBA Finals before the Finals even start. I’m not even trying to disrespect the East either. OKC and San Antonio just look different than everybody else right now. The speed, length, shot making and defense on both sides is ridiculous. Every game feels like one of those series where you look up halfway through the 2nd quarter and realize both teams are playing at a completely different intensity than the rest of the fricking league. And honestly it’s the kind of matchup where every possession feels like it actually matters, not just filler until the end of the game.
I keep seeing “OKC already handled them in the regular season” or “Spurs can’t match their depth” like that automatically settles it. Playoff basketball is a whole different animal. Teams spend days picking apart every single matchup and tendency. One weak defender gets hunted every possession. One bad shooting stretch can flip an entire game. Half the time these series end up being decided by some random adjustment in Game 3 nobody saw coming. That’s why all the confident predictions right now are kind of funny to me because this shite changes FAST once the games actually start. OKC is still probably the most COMPLETE team left though, they defend like hell, they can switch everything, and Shai has gotten to that point where he controls the pace late without forcing anything.
But then you’ve got San Antonio and the whole thing just gets weird in the best way. Wemby is the one guy in this matchup who can straight up break basketball. He changes literally everything on the floor. You can run a perfect possession for 20 seconds and then boom, he erases it because his arms come out of fricking nowhere. Then on offense he’s pulling up from three or taking two dribbles and dunking like it’s nothing. There’s no clean comparison for him because nobody that size is supposed to move like that. And it’s not just him anymore either, Castle looks legit, the defense has gotten nastier, and they actually feel like a real team now instead of a project still trying to figure out what they are.
That’s why this series is scary as hell for OKC. You’re not just dealing with one superstar, you’re dealing with a young team that finally believes it belongs and isn’t backing down from anybody. I still lean OKC slightly because their depth is insane and they’ve already been in more high pressure situations together, so they feel more polished right now. But I don’t think this is some clean Thunder win like people are acting. There’s gonna be at least a couple games where everybody is sitting there like what the frick just happened because Wemby pulls off something that doesn’t even look real.
And the crazy part is this might just be the beginning. This doesn’t feel like a one off playoff series, it feels like the start of something we’re gonna be watching for the next decade. Shai vs Wemby, two young teams, both built the right way, no superteam nonsense. Honestly the league kind of needs that shite right now. I really think whoever survives this series is winning the championship. Maybe Cleveland has a puncher’s chance if they get hot from three but outside of that I don’t see anybody matching the level these two teams are about to play at. This has seven games written all over it and probably at least one completely ridiculous ending that people argue about for weeks.
7 games AND MY BODY IS READY.
