inferior like Ole Miss?
Ole Miss finished in the top 15 that year...Arky and Kentucky finished unranked in 2007...

think that any LSU fan....if they were honest, would much rather have someone like Meyer as HC than Lesticles....
you are 100% wrong about that and don't go calling me a liar. you can try to speak for any LSU fan but then it is you who is lying. having said that i like meyer as a coach and think he'll do a great job at osu.

UK was a bad loss, though they were ranked in the top 10 going into the game. The decision to play a clearly worn out Hester over Scott in that game is much worse that sticking with JJ over Lee imo, but i digress.
Arky was pretty loaded that year, I don't know how they lost 5 games with DMac, Jones and Hillis. They finished unranked because they got smoked in the Cotton Bowl by Mizzo. 1) Mizzo got hosed, they should have been in a BCS bowl and were much better than the OSU team OM beat in the CB a year later and 2) Nutt bailed before that game. In short i think 2007 Arky and 2008 OM were pretty equal.

doing it longer than 5 years with compete roster turnover. UM took over a pretty loaded team and added to it with those epic 2006 and 2007 recruiting classes. That was the heart of the 2008 NC and 2009 #2 team. Yes, some of the blame for 2011 can go to the new schemes, but not all of it. They signed some highly ranked guys that don't look to be panning out. Some of that is evauation by the previous staff. Of course, had Newton not gotten in trouble, UM might still be there
If you asked me as recently as Oct of 2010, I would have taken UM over Les, but after the last 2 years, watching Les build what LSU has now and the talent they are bring in, he is maintaining the loaded deck he took over at an elite level and arguably doing even better. We had a big drop in 2008, but that was really it. 2009 was 9-4, but all 4 loses were were by a total of 24 points. Since then elite.
Again, I'm not saying UM isn't a great coach, he is, but at this point, I'd happily take Les.
