I think I bet the under on that one because there was supposed to be nasty weather. Whatever it was, I was on the losing side

There are definitely some juicy plays this weekend. I'm probably going to add another 2* on top of my 1* bet on Utah tonight to hopefully start what will be a big weekend.
My biggest play of the weekend will be 4* on Saints -7 and 3* on NC State -4 at UConn

I have 2.5 units on the Saints as of now (will probably put another 2-3 today.)
I have 7.5 units on the Pats. I don't care what people are saying about the super bowl loser and their abismal record week 1. Super bowl champs had a stellar record in week 1 and look what happened to the giants.
I have 4 untis on Okie Lite.
2 units on Nebraska (-5)
1 unit on duke (+15.5)
1 unit on UGA (-3)
Plus a $7.50 parlay (5 teamer with all of the above bets excluding Duke) to win $178.00.

No offense, but why would you put all of your bets in a parlay as well? Why not do a parlay that have none of these bets, or maybe 1. There is like a 99% chance you aren't going 5-0 on these bets. I guess if you do, it's a big cash.

Just for fun. I did the opposite last week and hit 3 out of 4 on a 4 teamer. So I thought, why didn't I just bet those games straight up if I liked them so much? So this week just to add another fun bet, I did the parlay.
Besides, if there is a 99% chance I'm not going 5-0 on straight up picks, why would it be any different for 5 different picks parlayed together? This way, even if one of the parlayed plays loses, I still can win the rest straight up.
Kinda like buying a lottery ticket. It's minimal money and you prolly won't win, but if you do......
I also put a unit on a 6pt teaser:
Nola (-2.5)
Detroit (-3)
All in fun.

....aaaand thats how Vegas makes money off parlays. People say "ah frick it its just $5", and Vegas just takes that $5 to the bank just about every time.

I totally agree, but I'm not doing this for a living. Do I wanna win? Sure, but I also want to have fun. If I was dropping hundreds on parlays, then I'd have a problem, but every couple weeks dropping $5 on a paraly for the entertainment value doesn't hurt me. Just a personal preference I guess.

I do a 5$ parlay every week for fun like you. I just try not to involve any teams I am betting straight up on. I always hate when one of my bets makes me lose twice.

We share this personal preference.
Nothing like hitting one of those big bastards and possibly I've won an inordinate amount of them, but I end up breaking even more than losing my arse.
