If he was an idiot, maybe. For the most part, bookies don't "go after" players that don't pay anymore unless it is a very substantial amount. Why risk losing everything if the guy decides to go to the cops after being harassed or assaulted for a couple grand? It's not smart business and bookies know that, which is why they will screen who they will take action from more thoroughly.

A few years ago, I was crushing it and had quadrupled my bankroll in 5 weeks betting CFB. I decided week 6 was the week where I would double my units per play and I went 3-7 that week. I never recovered.
