I had to lay a little on the over. Seems pretty money to me.
Congrats on the win. I should have listened to you. I started this gambling season with a loss by taking the first half bet. I should have known better than to bet on preseason.

Only if they were all that easy

Looking over the different bets on 5dimes and when placing an "if bet", there is the option to choose "win" or "win or push". What is the difference? I didnt notice any change in odds or moneylines when selecting one or the other.

Thinkin bout doing this 5-point 4-game teaser at +335:
Stanford* -20½ vs San Jose State
West Virginia* -19½ vs Marshall
Florida* -24 vs Bowling Green
Texas* -24½ vs Wyoming

How is 24 or 29 different from 10 or 15? Hell both games are listed at their handicap so technically there should be no difference

FML.
I cashed out after the BCSNCG and have been waiting till CFB kickoff to reload my Sportsbook account. Since last season I moved from VA into DC. Went to update my billing address with Sportsbook today and apparently they do not accept accounts with DC billing address, and my address on file with Sportsbook has to match the one on file with my bank. I really don't feel like going through the hassle of doing a Western Union money order.
Checked out 5dimes and it looks like they do accept Distict of Columbia, at least on their registration page. Yay. It seems like a lot of you use it- how's the cash out process? Pros/cons?

I made three withdrawals from 5dimes last year, all were smooth and easy. Before the first withdrawal, you have to 'verify' your CC deposit by emailing them a copy of your credit card, your D.L, and fill out a form they email you. After that, you are eligible to make withdrawals. They give you one free ACH withdrawal a month, and you have to send in your request form by noon on Monday or something like that. You can withdraw anytime other than that, but there is a small fee (I don't remember how much because I always used the free withdrawal). After making the request, the money was in my checking account within 5 business days.
There was a slight hiccup with my last withdrawal but they made it right. After 2 weeks I still hadn't received my money. I called them and they explained something was up with the vendor they used to wire money into the United States, so they Western Unioned the money to me for free and I picked it up the next day at Rite-Aid.
In other words, 5Dimes is legit.

parlays too.
ETA: took Stan -26.5
3 starting OL return. 6 of front 7 return on D.
SJSU only has 1 of front 7, and 2 starting OL returning.

There are fewer key numbers at larger spreads.

Interesting. I can't see a difference.
So I know to stay away from teasers and parlays.
What is the general consensus on the win only vs win or push

If anyone needs a reliable book try machobet.com
They should have a local rep to pay you out
If not they will send to your account
Good lines (they don't do crazy bets) just the basics
Just met with my rep to post for my account
Placed my other wagers in Vegas @ Wynn (love taking their money)

May have to try that out. I read it's always good to have multiple sources for different lines.
Thinking of taking LA Tech (+7.5) against Texas A&M.
Tech returning 4 offensive lineman and won the WAC last year along with an experienced QB. Playing at home.
A&M, new coach, new offense, and it looks like they are starting a freshman QB.
Anyone else contemplating this one?

Tech might just win that outright
Week 1 shocker

I agree, but I didn't want to dive right in on it since it will be my first official sports bet ever
Is it common practice to pick a win outright AND bet for the same team to cover? LA tech example for week one against A&M (+245) outright, and for them to cover the spread (-120).
Also, what do you guys think about Vandy (+7)?
I have also read a good bit in this thread about the Oregon o/u. Set at 68. You think Kelly will score that many points with his Ducks while trying to figure out an official starting QB?

If this is ur official first bet take Bama not La Tech straight up
Parlay the over and Miami OH for a 3 teamer

Excuse my slowness.
Is that Take Bama straight up and the over for that game, then take Miami OH to cover their end of the spread
or
Take bama straight up and take the over for the Miami OH game and take Miami OH to cover as well.
Again, I apologize, I'm not too familiar with the lingo, and since I'm dealing with MY money, I'd rather sound slow and ask, then not ask and screw something up.

Bet bama
Then parlay bama, over in miami ohio and Miami ohio spread is what he's saying
