Berman is awful on golf. His schtick just doesn't work at all. Plus he's clueless and doesn't pay attention. I fricking hate it when ESPN has golf coverage.

All about getting in lines and pushing storylines they like. It's terrible. Just like MNF. I'm not a huge SVP fanboy like a lot of people here, but he's as good as they have as a straight play by play guy for golf. At least he's trying to treat the players and the event with respect.

So glad people brought this up because I thought they sounded like Berman and SVP but couldn't figure why they would have done that. They don't have golf pros to commentate? I agree that SVP isn't bad. His voice suits golf announcing.

Berman has been doing the Open since like '86. He is a classic for this.
