After Wimbledon I thought there was no way that Rafa can ever be in the discussion of GOAT again but after today he def can

Does Nadal take over #1 or does Novak keep it?

I've been watching tennis for 50 years. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that Nadal is the best I've ever seen, and is surely the greatest of all time. A supreme talent who works harder than anybody else is a devastating combination.

First ever to win 2 or more of the same grandslam on each of the 3 surfaces?

Novak keeps it by a smidgeon. Rafa will get it in the next tournament he play though, and once he gets it he'll keep for a long while considering he has no points to defend until like March 2014.

Exactly, guy wins the Aussie Open, loses in finals of Wimbledon and US Open.

On the decline! No.

Can we start calling him Choke-vic again after this?

Come on, man. Rafa has a way higher margin of error. Novak basically needs to play his A game to win these matches. Novak and Delpo are the only guys on the planet who can even contemplate trying to be the aggressor and crack winners over the course of five sets. At some point, you just break down trying to play at that level.

I am not a Rafa guy, but major props to him. I'll crown his arse when he gets to 16 or so, which is a given IMO.

No, dude. Not at all. He isn't at 2011 level, but he's not declining as a player. He'll be the favorite at the Aussie, and I think one of these years he's gonna beat Rafa at Roland Garros.
