55 Run 40 Arm 40 FLD 35 Hit 55 Power
So above Major League average on 2/5
Just below on 2/5
and rough on 1/5

He instantly will be one of, if not the most, athletic player every time he steps on the field. In football, he was simply average when it came to size, strength, and speed. In baseball, he will be damn near the best at all of those categories
But he didn't wash out of the NFL because he was "simply average" in size, strength, and speed. And he won't be good at baseball just because he's one of the biggest, strongest, and fastest players on the field.

For NFL standards, he was average when it came to skill position players. There was nothing awe inspiring about his size, strength, and speed in terms of other NFL players. In baseball, he is a 1%er
This is true.
But it's sort of weird how he has become sort of a joke in the public eye, and it feels like a million years ago when people thought he was superhuman in college...wonder what his legacy will be...seems like even his college career is being re-written as ...he was average by your comments.

Early consensus from scouts evaluating Tebow's baseball tools at work out: 55 Run 40 Arm 40 FLD 35 Hit 55 Power
Arm = Standard Deviation below average.
FLD = Standard Deviaiton below average.
Hit = Emergency Call-Up. .230 Batting average. 0.0 WAR
Power = Above Average. 29-22 HRs. 2.5 WAR

I think his current size will actually be a big hinderance. There's no way he can be flexible enough to move his hands and adjust his swing from a 95 mph fastball to a 87 mph slider running in on him. Not helping his throwing arm either. Aren't you a tennis player? Not a whole lotta big swole dudes bombing aces. Tim would do well to take up yoga and drop 25 pounds. And if somebody tells him that's what he has to do, I have no doubt he will. I'll be pulling for him.

So he's basically a poor man's version of Bubba Starling...

If nobody knew who Tebow was, and he stepped on a field for a random tryout, he would easily turn scouts' heads just with his athleticism. He'll get every opportunity because of that and how his popularity will go over with a minor league team.
But reaching the Bigs is a long shot for ANY baseball player, and pretty much impossible for someone his age, who has taken so much time away from the game.

It doesn't matter if you can hit the ball 700 ft if you have trouble with the curve.
They put poor throwers at first. They put poor fielders at DH.
But they put poor hitters on the street.

Still has alot of odds against him though

.200 is ok, but it depends on how it looked.

In a world where I had to suffer through watching Dan Uggla, Evan Gattis, BJ Upton, and Jordan Schafer all getting significant playing time, I don't see why so many write off Tebow. Can't be much worse than those guys.

Just hit one right off the 365 sign against live pitching.......

Tebow just hit his second ball off the wall against live pitching..... This time to left field, so opposite field power
