It has Been discussed on here many times that Phil is not the most liked player by his peers. I think a lot of it is jealousy. In part because he was so good, but went so long without actually winning the big one. Other players would mock him for choking in the majors. Now, all people can say is that he is fake in front of the cameras. You can't fake that persona for That many years without most of it being genuine. Could he be faking some of it, sure. But he has been that way for many years now, and he's never slipped in public.

It's also been rumored that Phil has wandered away from Amy and has racked up some big time gambling debts. Fact or fiction? Who knows?
Early in his career, I met him in the CBS compound at Castle Pines. Me and half a dozen others spent 15-20 minutes chatting with him in the catering tent. Came across as an OK guy.

yeah I don't buy all of it, I love him, but my God, if people started talking about what kind of guy I am there's no telling what would get circulated around the internet in a week's time

Phil is the BIGGEST gambler on tour! I have been told by pretty reliable sources he walked into one of the club houses, I think at Augusta, threw 100K on the table and said "Anyone wanna bet I don't win today!"
That is just hearsay, not completely positive that happened, but I believe it! Talk about balls!

I'm never said Tiger wasn't acting a fool this Year.
Not real sure how you can say this year has been better, the 2nd nine last year had like 8 different guys holding a share of the lead at some point, including the winner birding the last 4 holes to win, which hasn't been done ever.
