that's what they are paid to do. attorneys... morals.... come on.
I know but at least in many cases the attorney really doesn't know what to believe. This case is different. It is known, he just hasn't been officially found guilty yet although it will just be a formality of going through the process.

Not for $100K. Hell, they remanded Michael Jackson's doctor into immediate custody because he was "a danger to society."

Just read the presentment. I haven't been this disgusted in a while. Everyone involved should be run out of the fricking state. Do none of them know how to call the police?
frick JoePa. What an ignominious end to a great career. Piece of shite.

the fact that his attorney is actually representing him
No matter how big of a piece of shite he is, he's entitled to legal representation and a fair trial
+1
especially with the hysteria around him the importance of due process is even larger

Paterno and others had to know about this for years, he started his second mile thing in '77. I bet they've have been hiding this shite since sometime around then. The guy didn't just up and start molesting boys in 1994. I bet more victims come forward and this gets way worse.
It seems Paterno and others knew about this stuff since 98 at the very latest. Not reporting this could also be a felony in a few states, a misdemeanor in most. We know Pateno, McQueary and others knew for sure in 2002.

I feel sick for our players and our seniors that have to deal with this on senior day.
what about the victims and their families?
It sucks for everyone obviously.

It would have been better earlier, the longer he waits to speak the more informed and enraged people are going to be.

Pope JoePA won't be there Saturday

Especially after watching Millen I understand former players being upset. He said that he gets very angry about it but wants to hear the whole facts. When you play football you respect the hell out of a coach especially a guy with the reputation of Paterno. It would be the same thing if somebody said that about your father. Its tough to let go of that sometimes and believe that the person in question could do such despicable things
You respect a guy for so long only to have what you thought completely thrashed. It's difficult for everyone that held Sandusky and the program in high regard. This is going to be one crazy trial.

JoePa can go frick himself with an iron rod. You have to be kidding me. It literally reads like some shite from the Catholic Church scandal. Do these people not know how that child sexual abuse is not a fricking administrative issue?

I can't even count the number of players and former players that have done charity work for Second Mile. I know plenty of poeple that have donated money to it and have gone to the dinner that Sandusky has hosted in my area for years.
Like I said he was absolutely worshipped by his players for a long time. He was going to be the heir apparent to Joe if Joe had retired back in the early 90's (well him or Fran.) The response the former defensive players that played for Jerry are showing is no surprise to me.

I didn't say he wasn't allowed any of that. DID I? NOOOOOO.......it's just a damn shame there are people out there that would represent him knowing what we know. There isn't a maybe about his innocence.

I believe I read where Paterno's son said his dad was never made aware of the 1998 incident. Shultz, the VP that Paterno went to after the 2002 incident, however, has admitted to knowing about the 1998 allegations.

The President had to cancel the press conference - he can't have Paterno spouting off facts or offering admissions.
We all may want a mea culpa but legally it would be irresponsible.
The victims won't be suing the perp - they'll be suing Penn State University and massive liability awaits.

frick HIM! He only has himself to blame for what is happening now. OBVIOUSLY he wasn't the man everyone thought he was. He's a fraud and essentially helped his former DC abuse more boys through his charity.

Heard the same, but also other stories that Paterno did in fact know as early as 98. Still, he knew without a doubt in '02

RT @RappUp The Times article confirms what I heard this morning. The Board of Trustees voted Paterno out, he was asked to resign and refused
