FYI, firing Joe Pa doesn't change the fact that PSU covered this up. We cannot forget this. The people deciding JP's fate are the same people are most probably orchestrated this whole cover up to begin with...

Think of all the coaches, assistants and administrators who brought their kids around Sandusky. I'm sure they're going to have to sit them down and find out if anything inappropriate ever happened. There's no way of telling if he only Sanduskied kids from the charity.

They are all goign to get their commupence. This is too big now and the media is all over this. Journalists will make thier careeers on a story like this. STuff will be dug up from decades ago and new witenesses and victims will emerge. this is only the beginning.

Oh absolutely. This thing is nuclear, not even those with the slightest link to the cover up will be able to escape.

Also, JoePa's " I want to talk but can't" is a total crock of shite. Some lawyer has told him to shut his mouth or he will die in a prison cell. I guarantee his next excuse will be that he's old and doesn't remember the details since it was so long ago.

I feel pretty certain that if I was accused of encouraging child rape for past decade I would have my side of the story out there pretty fricking quick.

The grand jury investigation started after he tried to get close to a kid at the high school that he was volunteering at. There going to have to look anywhere he was where kids are around.

Ugh...I need to get away from this for awhile. It's a bit overwhelming for everyone up here. Can't really believe this is happening at PSU.

I'd say there will be a clean sweep.

The football staff, the AD's office, and much of the upper administration including the president will likely be turfed.

The school will need to do some major penance / rehab by the time this is over.

What happens to Joe Pa is irrelevant IMO. It just troubles me that the people partially responsible for numerous horrible crimes are the one still deciding what to do.

Did you read the Michael Weinreb piece on Grantland. Well written and probably expresses some of the emotions you are feeling?

Man I just feel that this has to go above the president of PSU. This had to go to the board of trustees.

I don't think JoePa's gotten the memo that the "Gee, shucks, I'm just an old fart" schtick won't get him out of this one.

Part of me hopes that Joe Pa or the President comes clean and says they were under the orders of the PSU elite (ie BIG $$ people who really control the university)
