That's what I don't understand. CBJ love giving up late goals too so I can definitely see it happening.

Nathan Horton is going to set a record tonight though. He will be the only player to ever score a goal and not play in the game. He had the 1 goal before the Peverly situation.

Stars eliminated the predators tonight too. Was a pretty intense game.

Stars played a really sloppy game too. They could have easily lost it.

Tonight's game is so important for the Stars. They have the Blues coming up on Friday (ouch, but the Stars have gotten somewhat lucky and have beaten them twice in the last month). Then, if none of you happened to have looked at Dallas' & Phoenix's remaining schedules, they play each other Sunday night. So that game can possibly become a play-in game for the 8th spot. Dallas holds the tie breaker though, so Phoenix will have to at least be within 1 point going into that game and win it in regulation or be even with the Stars going into it and just win. Great ending to the season! Although, as a Stars fan, I wish they would have just wrapped it up by now...

I think its the only fair way to handle it. There's no good solution, but it was early enough in the game that they should just restart, but instead of punishing the Jackets, they keep their 1-0 lead. I'm fine with it considering the special circumstances.

That's not that huge of a difference maker.

Letang is the biggest difference maker in a Penguins uniform minus Crosby and maybe Malkin.

The Pens real problem on D, considering Maata has been even better than either Martin or Letang were this year, is their leading blueliner in minutes is Orpik, who is pretty terrible.

Meh, Orpik is fine with the right pairing which is Martin. Who has missed 70 games this year. Part of it, but they're back now and will be fine.

Niskanen doesn't get enough praise, he's been phenomenal. 10 goals 33 assists for 43 points with a +32 on the year. He's been paired with Maatta all year, too.

Orpik-Martin
Letang-Scuderi
Niskanen-Maatta
Despres

I likes it.

If the Pens use Niskanen-Maata as their 3rd pairing, they are begging teams to beat them. That's probably their best pairing right now. They should be getting huge minutes.

That wasn't in order, was just listing the playoff pairings.

1st pairing will be Martin-Orpik, then Niskanen-Maatta, Letang-Scuderi.

Great game going on in Pittsburgh. Feels like a playoff game. Detroit got a goal with about a minute left to send it to OT and get the point for the playoff berth.
