Eagles lucked out. Gates fumbled at the 1 as he was about to score. They are driving with a chance to score again now.

Gates had the ball swinging out and the guy came in a knocked it away. he didnt go for the tackle he went for the ball and caused the fumble

It certainly is sometimes. The first one is a good play by the defender. Having a veteran like Gates hold the ball like that never happens. It was luck
2nd fumble was just a regular tackle, no exceptional play by the defense. The runner just didn't hold on to the ball. That's not a "Forced" fumble.

Philly O and McCoy look great, but the Chargers held the ball for the entire half playing keep away. Rivers is playing a perfect game right now. I like where the Eagles are at though.

I mean you hit a guy and he drops the ball is a force.
the only non forced fumble is when someone goes DeSean Jackson and drops it before the goal line.
