Anyone know why Barbe and Sam Houston are playing in Sulphur?

Zachary's demographics are trending away from the baseball crowd.

I know Barbe is having to play home games elsewhere due to their field being turfed right now.

Chalmette knocks off Fontainebleau 4-2 despite having to go deep into their pitching staff today. Supposedly Fontainebleau had some dudes and there were plenty of radar guns at the game.
Both teams scored twice in the fourth inning and CHS put up two in the bottom of the sixth.
Fontainebleau was #12 in the nonselect Division I standings when I checked today and is now 12-5. We’re now 10-8 and looking at being the 24 seed in the playoffs if we win district, but hopefully we’re dangerous in a best 2/3 series, new this year for round 1 of the playoffs

WM cut West Ouachita 14-0 tonight in district. The win might actually hurt WM’s power rating due to WO’s abysmal record. Second game will be Saturday at WM.

Brother Martin has beaten Rummel and Curtis each twice now. 4-0 in district.
BM has peaked way too soon for several years now. But, this is a young BM team that should continue to get better. I hate to call them a sleeper, but nobody really expected them to be 4-0 at this point.
They have a really good 2025 class.

WM sends 14 batters to the plate in the 2nd inning. Freshman Ryder Dejean's first hit at WM was a 3 run homerun. 10-0 over WO after 2.

WM cuts WO 11-0. Freshman Ryder Dejean, MLB vet Mike's son, hit 2 homeruns on his 4th and 6th AB of the year in his first ever start. LSU commit, Freshman Bradyn Garner had 8 strike outs in 3 innings and gets the win.

Just to bump, and say I learned today that Warren Easton baseball is 13-3. No idea who they've played but still interesting.

WM skull drags WO then takes an L from Ouachita Christian.
Year in and year out OCS proves it’s one of the top baseball programs in the state.

Not sure if you care, but Barbe is finally playing at home on Thursday. Supposedly turf is nice!

Can’t have 5 errors and give up 5 unearned runs and expect to win. Give good teams extra outs and you’re going to lose.

Might go check it out in the upcoming match up with Sulphur.

Come on JJ you know OCS can play with them boys on the west side!
Whether you make the errors or not, the other team still has to take advantage of them. The good teams do that.
