Gotta get past Oak Grove first. That's easier said than done. Oak Grove isn't as strong as in the past, but they still are formidable and have great coaching.

EDW over Marksville

EDW is better than their seed, lost a couple tough games early, easily couldve been 9-1

I'm interested to see the Marksville offense

It does when you're the 1 seed and you have to play on the road the second week just because the 17 beat the 16. There's barely a difference between those two teams.

One year Evangel was the #2 seed and played every game on the road except the first round. shite happens...

Hey ZacharyTiger, kind of over inflating those Offensive stats for Zachary huh? Got to make them look better than they are. The Veer is about to expose the Mighty Broncos!

They've scored at least 40 points in 7 games this season. They have a weak pass defense. Acadiana runs the veer so that should help Zachary. I think Zachary has a chance.

glad you said that, i was thinking thru this scenario and wondering about that. i guess that's where the rule change came in. shouldn't everyone have a home game after this week?

it surprised me that they moved the BM/Dutchtown game to saturday to allow the home game though.

Bro Mart plays most of their games on Saturday....that's what sucks most about the catholic league and the Jeff Parish schools. We (HHS) get moved once again from a district with the Ascension schools to one with JP pubs who have no stadiums so we are now looking at having to play Thursday and Saturday games when we go to them. Since they don't draw many fans, we ought to just pay them to come to the river parishes on Fridays.....they'd probably make more money and a loss is a loss for them anyway.

I follow Dutchtown football, so I admit that I'm partial when I say that. But I have always thought this "everybody gets a trophy" home game rule is garbage. If Brother Martin wanted a home game, maybe they should have beaten some of the non-playoff teams they faced.

ED White did not play well against a not very good Westlake team. They have a terrible draw. If they beat Marksville they have to face Parkview who has the best defense in 3A and it's not close as far as the next best defense. Then ED White would see Notre Dame. It would take alot to get past those 3 games. I don't think they can play with Parkview. That's an underrated seed. They will physically dominate ED White. They have not seen a team as good as Parkview. South Lafourche and Assumption don't compare to Parkview's physicality.

If Acadiana doesnt forfeit the games that they did, Parkview is not a 5 seed, they are a 1 or 2 seed. So that doesnt tell the whole story.

Parkview does have the best defense in 3A, so they will be very tough to beat.

Way to run your mouth without checking anything 40+ 7 out of 11 games is exactly what I meant you thought I made that up. Zachary has put 450-500 yards each of the last two games. No I don't expect them to do that to Acadiana because they are solid and control the ball and the clock. I am just saying that it is not like Acadiana is just going up against warm live bodies.

Hey Junior, Read Your own post! You made it sound like they have been doing that all year not just the last two games. Zachary is overated. Average coaching and with pretty good talent! It ends for the over hyped Fighting Broncos Friday night!

And you are probably right I am not arguing that. Stop acting like I am throwing dirt on Acadiana. Acadiana has the history Zachary doesn't and it will be a few years before they are established. I just expect them to keep it close not 3-4 tds like everyones predicting.

Holy Cross' defense is right up there with them. only given up 16 points in their last 8 games

Holy cross plays against the worst teams in the entire state. It's possibly they could have a good defense, but playing against carver. Cohen, de la salle and other crappy teams doesn't give a good indicator.
