Airline will be a tough out. Lafayette was the #1 seed for most of the year. Barbe overtook them late. Zachary is always dangerous. WM has 4 Marucci Elite players. Truly 4-5 teams could come out of that side of the bracket.

Just looked at the bracket. Lafayette plays ASH first round. Beck, 6'7" LSU pitching commit will be on the round. He's well rested too because he only pitched 1 inning against WM Thursday. Single elimination, crazy things happen. We'll have a better idea who will make it after round one. 2/3 second and third rounds kinda takes away the upsets.

U-high VS Westlake @ the cub den

PBS vs Iowa @ the nest
westlake and Iowa both matchup well with their first round opponent.

2003 according to kenramsey #1 seed (from the Catholic League) Jesuit lost 11-2 to Thibodaux... Brother Martin was an 8 seed that lost to Fontainebleau in 2009, but the champion might have been 10 seed Jesuit. Rummel was the 6 seed and lost to Shaw in 2010, but 5 seed Brother Martin and 16 seed Jesuit won.

I like Lafayette. Partly because they play in the toughest district and have seen the best of the best. But watch out for Zachary. They have been there before and always are talented.

idk but i assume so if they were the #1 seed from the district... but maybe the tiebreakers said differently, idk. since we went to statewide seeding, you can't find who the district champion was just by looking at the playoff bracket

Barwick left for personal reasons and i'm not at liberty to say more lest rumors get started

That was always nice when the Catholic League champ would meet up with the second or third place team from Bonnable, John Ehret, or McDonough 35's district.

Curtis is 4-6 in all sports in the playoffs this year. Not looking like a good move, especially since most these teams lose good seniors.

Volleyball- can't count that, yall were basically in 2a 0-1
Football- 1-1 0-1
Boys basketball 0-1 1-1
Girls basketball 2-1 0-1
Softball 0-1 0-1
Baseball 0-1 1-0 and counting

btw BOLD is Chalmette's record in those playoffs
