I have been so busy and sick this week hadn't paid much attention.

Guidry's MO is bring the house on high risk situations. Sam knows that at called the right play. I think Guidry is a good dc but sometimes you gotta play the percentages.

I doubt it. AD is a Sulphur guy and honestly I don't think Mcneese can get anyone better for the money. I know it's not an excuse but it is what it is.

How much does Matt Viator make? I'm sure he gives a hometown guy discount, but eventually you need to say enough is enough and bring in new blood. Fan support during regular season is going to be pretty bad next year, and I honestly don't blame the fans

matt is very loyal and a great guy. hes an above average coach who is all mcneese can afford. he wont win games for you by out-coaching you
the head coaching job pays 110,000. yes thats it. they cant get anyone to come in and do that.
he did go 10-0 this year, in all fairness.
i attribute the mcneese decline over the past 8-10 years to two main factors
1. addition of SE LA and Lamar. more competition and now they dont own SE Texas.
2. weak conference- padding easy wins gives false hope and then they go into playoffs and are way over matched

If other schools in our conference can afford better coaches, I don't see why McNeese can't. I don't think it's because the money isn't there, they just don't want to spend it.
It's been over a decade since McNeese won a playoff game. That, to me, is unacceptable.

being around hardcore MSU fans for the first time in my life made me realize just how much they truly value "doing it the right way"

I agree the playoff issue is very frustrating and not a small thing. But they did go 10-0 this year.

Well, I think the first goal is to win conference because it helps recruiting considering they only recruit regionally as if social media didn't exist and couldn't reach out to kids and judge interest without driving or traveling and dipping into the budget.

Can't lie, with Les back at LSU, and McNeese bringing back alot of their guys, I think they'll be better next year and I'll be back to more McNeese games
I didn't expect 10-0 at all. Frustrating with this winless streak.
The amount of tackles they missed tonight is probably the #1 direct result of losing that game and giving up so much.
The 2 no call PI's in the 1st half and the 1st and goal from the 1 and end up having to punt is what did them in tonight

Conference Championships are nice, but if a kid is down to McNeese and Sam Houston, he's gonna pick Sam Houston because they win conference championships and playoff games. What the point of racking up conf championships if you can't even win a playoff game at home.
