Should I start Buckhalter, Pittman or P. Thomas this weekend as my second RB?
Posted on 9/25/08 at 9:37 pm to VooDoo1321
I'd say Buckhalter. Even if Westbrook plays, he'll be limited. Buckhalter is solid.

That was my gut feeling too, but going on the road to Chicago and Pittman going to KC and Pierre getting most of the goaline carries at home vs SF, I was in limbo.
EDIT: Addai having a bye week is killing me this week.

I think Chicago's defense it around 27th or 28th in the league. San Fran's D is very underrated. I would between Buckhalter & Pittman. Pittman is almost a guaranteed touchtown, not much more than that. I just think Buckhalter offers you more.

thanks. want to help me with my third WR?
Posted on 9/25/08 at 10:10 pm to lsugerberbaby
OK these are my starters at the moment:
J. Cotchery vs AZ
Andre Johnson vs JAX
Bryant Johnson (slightly injured?) vs NO
Bench
Roddy White vs Carolina
Prospects I was thinking about
R Meachem vs SF (although I can't stand him)
I Bruce vs NO (he always seems to do well vs the Saints)
H Basket vs CHI
any thoughts?

quote:I'd say that'd be a pretty horrible move this week considering McNabb has had chest pains and sat out practice today.
Is this the best time to trade philip rivers value wise.DMcnabb my starter

Who should I start as a flex option this week: Slaton, Bryant Johnson, or Chris Perry?
I also have Selvin Young in a league how do you think he will do this week against a terrible Chiefs D?

my team on cbs....
QB-Cutler
HB's: A Peterson, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Borwn, Chester Taylor, Felix Jones (Trying to deal Brown or Jones for a WR)
WR'S: (My weakest position) Colston, Chambers,Ike Hilliard, Kevein Walter
TE'S: Billy Miller (Solid Pickup for this week), Dallas Clark
Kicker- Neil Rackers
DST- Tampa
I'm 2-1 right now, and no, I did not start Ronnie Brown last week and won...but I feel like I stiill need to start Peterson and Bush unless Peterson isn't 100% What kind of trade could I make to get a solid receiver? Should I keep what I got, or wait until Colston heals?? Currently my 2nd and third receiver varies week by week, and only Chambers is producing. I need Taylor for a handcuff, so I'm thinking trading Jones b/c of his upside and keeping only 4 Hb's instaed of 5.

My bad dude. I had just typed up a response when my computer died on me.
Anyway, I'm big on Hank Baskett this week. The Bear's D is struggling right now, like I said. McNabb should share the love with all of his receivers this week. I'm also pretty big on Robert Meachem. David Patten may not see much time, if any at all because of a groin injury. Meachem, Henderson, & Moore will be the most targeted options. But San Fran's defense is pretty good (from what I've seen). Not as big on Cotchery. Arizona's secondary is very underrated. All that said, I'd say, Hank Baskett should be your guy.

I'd say go with Perry this week...at home against the Browns. Looks like it might be a good week for him.
Selvin Young will also have a really good week. Only problem with him is...Pittman. Young probably won't get many goal line touches this year, but if you want yards, this is a good matchup for him.

No problem, thanks for your thoughts, I am going to pick up Baskett. I also picked up B Miller as my TE this weekend in hopes that Brees will find him a few times with Shockey and Colston out. I have Cooley as my 1st TE (I am a big Cooley guy), but with them playing Dallas and the scenario above, I am going to take a chance on Miller this week.

I picked up Antonio Bryant from Tampa Bay and starting him in front of Heath Miller. With Galloway out, I believe Bryant will have another big game Sunday, atleast I hope so

This is from ESPN (on Peterson):
quote:
Peterson (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, but says he is feeling "pretty good" and that he doesn't have any tightness in his hamstring, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Spin: Peterson should start this week despite being limited in practice, but Chester Taylor may get 10 carries or so to reduce the wear on Peterson's hamstring.
I would try to pick up Brandon Lloyd, Antonio Bryant or Bryant Johnson (or even Hank Baskett) if they are on your free agent list for this weekend and then trade Taylor and/or Jones for a big name receiver.I traded LT and Calvin Johnson for T Owens and C Chambers only because I have A. Peterson, M. Turner and M. Forte, so I took a gamble, but my receivers were not doing sh*t for me. I also got rid of Colston since it will likely be about 5-6 more weeks before he sees any significant action(I hated to do it though). Just my opinion. Good luck.
PS I also picked up Miller for this weekend

Ok, so a few questions. Tell me who to start between:
Start two RB: McFadden, Buckhalter, F. Jones, M. Pittman. Apparently McFaddens toe is still an issue so I'm worried about starting him.
Start three WR: Bruce, B. Lloyd, A. Bryant, I. Hilliard.
