I'm not playing it, but if I was, I'd take CSU and the points.

Listening to his presser yesterday and him talking about McElwain, it became evident he will not run up the score. We might still cover, you never know. I think you will see a 31-0 or 38-7 type game.

Run the ball. And work on our defense.

I like Colorado State +40 vs. Bama. My favorite play of the week.

Saban never wants to embarrass his old assistants. His old buddy McElwain is in his 1st year @ CSU. Bama coming off an emotional win vs. TAMU, Ole Miss coming to town next week. This will be vanilla Bama football and CSU isn't terrible

Counterargument:
1) Colorado State will likely be unable to score even against Bama's reserves.
2) How in the world does Bama NOT score 40? That's only six possessions. Even if they pull the starters at halftime, Saban can't tell the reserves to not try.

My expectation is a 28-0 half time lead at worst and 13-20 in the 2nd half for a 41 to 48 to 0 final score.

CSU isn't that bad. They are 2-1 ATS this season. They aren't FCS-caliber and 40 is big number.

Because Saban doesn't want to, IMO. Saban doesn't like to blowout his pals. Saban doesn't need to prove anything and I suspect he probably wants his team healthy and more-focused for next week's game.

I think Bama 1H would end up looking better personally. Obviously depending on what that number is

for those looking to lay a big number, stay away from bama. saban never runs it up against non conference scrubs and takes his foot off the gas in the 2nd quarter. alabama didnt cover against western carolina, wku or florida atlantic last year. this game you either play colorado st, the under, or nothing at all.

jimbo fisher and fsu on the other hand love to run up the score. im making fsu -39.5 against bethune cookman my largest play of the year so far. fisher keeps his foot on the pedal thru 4 quarters.

I dig that, especially at the key number.

17.5 now... still like it.

The only thing that worries me is there is a high chance of rain. 17 and under still $$

Yup - that could be a concern, although Nick Marshall in the rain doesn't scare me with a Barn offense that relies on precision... and LSU can pound the rock.

Line should be -21. Auburn's 1st road game with a young team - we've only seen them at home vs bleh competition. Young team with inexperienced QB vs a huge step up in competition... like LSU here.

fwiw, AU's not that 'young'... there's some inexperience with the current systems, but most of the key players on this team are either JRs or SRs... also two senior specialists who've done a good job through three games.

If it rains, it's all the more reason to stay away... some of the bite out of the TS crowd, and shorter clock b/c of the running games.

with that said, a 21 point game wouldn't surprise me at all... but neither would a game like 07 or 05... a team with nothing to lose can be tough.
