I just don’t get all these so called experts thinking that Lance will go at three. Why not just draft Jones and keep Jimmy for a year for Jones to learn under him and then you have Jimmy as a big asset to trade after this season.... the 49ers are a very solid team that just got devestated by injury last year. And IMO if for some reason Jimmy gets hurt again I think Jones would be a better fit to come in right away.....

Well you can do this exact same thing with Lance but also the JimmyG trade market isn’t gonna be any hotter than it is this season. He’s only going to fetch them a mid to late round pick

That all depends on how well he plays next year . If he is injury free and leads the 49ers to the playoffs his value would skyrocket.

I mean the whole reason they traded up is because they can’t count on him to stay healthy; His value would still be deflated next year with teams knowing the 49ers will need to move off his contract and knowing Jimmy will need a new contract when traded

Next offseason teams likely just wait out the 49ers to cut him instead of keeping his 27 mil cap hit on the books

New Orleans, which currently owns the 28th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, is trying to trade up into the Top 10, according to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports.

Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis has said he doesn’t see many holes on the roster, which means he’d rather get one player he’s confident can come in and start as a rookie than draft multiple players for roster depth.

The obvious position the Saints would like to address is cornerback, where they lost Janoris Jenkins in free agency. Trading up into the Top 10 would give the Saints their choice of the best corners, which on most draft boards means either Patrick Surtain II or Jaycee Horn.

Jaycee would instantly raise the Testosterone levels in the Greater New Orleans area.

Interesting report from @SlaterNFL on Saints possible trade up: *not* for a cornerback, for "something more interesting and substantial"

Draft spice everywhere today.

@gerrydulac
Latest Steelers draft intel: Najee Harris is the target. Hope is Miami or NYJ don’t take him. If he’s gone, don’t be surprised to see a QB who might drop land at Heinz Fields.

I'm going to have a second pair of pants ready if the Steelers somehow land Fields tonight

Will my prediction of the saints trading up in the top ten and taking either trey lance, Mac, or fields come true
