Observation from the day at TPC: bubba watson hits it really fricking far. We were right behind him when he teed off on 4... Holy balls. It sounds completely different than any other player out there. It's unreal.

I'd just like to point out that it was Vegaspro who said Guan would shoot 90.
Also, Bubba's tee shot was even with the 270 sprinkler head on 18. He hit 3 iron into the front bunker. 18 is playing into about a 12 mph breeze today.

On TGC they said his approach on 18 was 240 to the pin and he hit 4 iron
It came out so damn low it looked like a mishit but that thing flew

It was amazing to see in person. The pin was up front, so I could see 240 being about right. I figured it was 3 iron because he had a fairway wood out at first. The shot was a laser. Seemed like it didn't get 30 feet off the ground.

For groups on TV, the caddies will flash hand signals to the TV guys to let them know. I learned that from an episode of Feherty with Fluff and Bones.

They laughed on tv when it left the club cause it looked like he dang near shanked it, but you could quickly see that he played it that way. He must have played 30 yards of hook.
