No way Western Michigan should be ahead of Temple.

One team is undefeated, the other lost to Memphis and Army. I believe that Temple would win if these two played, but 13-0 > 10-3

Is college football in it's current form so bad to some of you that you want to change the dynamics of the entire sport just so we can pacify the #8-#16 teams?
I'm generally only arguing for an 8-team playoff on here, but CFB is the only sport division I know of in America with such an insane level of subjectivity. It's severely flawed with regard to the postseason. Even the other college sports may have subjectivity, but it's not this bad. We're having entire pages filled with threads on here arguing about it because of how bad it is.

I know it's not the surface argument... but buried in most is just the unfairness that exists in such a subjective system and limited field and can be exemplified with this....

No other sports team in any league in the world, can miss out on their championship if they win every single game.
American college football has the only format where certain teams, supposedly in the same division, are eliminated before a single ball is kicked.

So much truth here. I know people don't like to hear it sometimes because CFB is basically loved and adored in the south. I'm in north Alabama for crying out loud, but the reality is that it has serious issues that need fixing. There is no championship in the history of CFB that can't be debated. I mean, obviously we accept the champions for those years, but a lot of teams can fairly ask "what if". There is no guarantee that USC would have beat AU in 2004 if they had played instead. That's just an example, but the same can be said for many other seasons.

Too many Group of 5 teams. Best Group of 5 team and only if they are ranked in the final committee top 25.

I'd be ok with that for an 8 team playoff. Whenever you go past 10 teams, you are obligated to include all conference champions.
