My hometown team has had to forfeit games as they sometimes can't field a full team.
As far as the Badgers go, they value wrestling when recruiting lineman and also basketball. They have to look at the kid beyond just what he has done on the football field as they are not developed at all compared to guys coming out of IMG and other football factories.
And then it takes time to develop them.

Wacker got a raw deal. Gutenkost just tanked it for no reason.
