Same company that pushed SC6 is getting accused of racism? Unbelievable. And for those saying ESPN will go bankrupt, it won’t. The Mouse will just pump cash into the company to keep it going.

I wouldn’t mind if it did but Disney made 12 billion in profit last year, and ESPN was a big investment for them so I doubt it’s going anywhere.

I like how any time a black person can't get a job, or promotion it's because they are black.

Get good at your craft, you will be rewarded. I guarantee Wilbon is paid insanely well for his work. Same with Stephen A. Smith. No way they aren't compensated fairly. As for Taylor. Bitch all you do is stand there and look pretty. Shut up and get into tight close so I can look at your arse.

I'd love to hear more about how a 33 year old with a prominent job at the worldwide leader is being held back and discriminated against.

The same way a guy who never actually saw what was described to him as a noose can be hurt and start accusing people of being racist toward him for days even after it was proven to be a mistake.

Why can’t ESPN go back to showing lesbian Roller Derby or Australian football ?

I remember when ESPN had a show about some dude named Vic ? That went around to neighborhoods inventing games to play.

As Maria Taylor, a fast-rising star who has hosted several shows, spoke about her treatment at ESPN, she was interrupted by a white male play-by-play announcer who apparently did not realize that his microphone was not muted.

Isn't she the one who was pissed about Brees?

It's almost surprising to see the true nature of some of these personalities. I would have never thought she would be someone to hold a grudge or take such offense to something that wasn't even racial.

It depends on how much money ESPN costs the mouse. You think these people want to lose money.

Less money would be flowing into college sports

IMO, this would be a good thing right now. College sports need a total reboot

Yes. Burn it down at this point.

Attaching athletics to universities was always a very dangerous combination but both the basic model of universities and the sustainability of athletic programs is now questionable.

Separate the two and make both complete and reform on the basis of their respective academic and financial/entertainment values.
A select few types of programs will lose value in the short term but long term we'll be better off as a whole.

I feel like the vast majority of Americans, especially those of the most recent generation, have not the faintest idea of what true racism is.

People have loose interpretations of what racism is.

Some would think even the above statement is racist

Ha! Vic's Vacant Lot...don't know how I remember that, maybe because it was so awful?

This is bullshite Steven A is the highest paid espn employee of them all even though there are white espn employees with way more Seniority. I don’t buy this. You white liberals have created an environment where if somebody doesn’t suck the balls of a black person than that white person is racist and I’m tired of that man. I don’t hate Black people or discriminate against Black people but I’m not going to get on my knees and suck their balls. I’m just not gonna do it man and if that makes me a racist then y’all can just go to hell.

So ESPN is racist AF and woke AF. What horrible combination. Good thing their content sucks so they have that going for them.

This is precisely right. They do not want a conversation. They want to swap spots with powerful white people.
