Yes. Odd number of teams in conference. Each year one team plays only 8 conference games. That’s them this year. But conference title based on losses not wins. If Nicholls wins Thursday they get automatic bid cause they beat incarnate word head to head

Good win for the Demons. But damn the Southland is shitty this year. Traditional Southland better watch out for these new Texas schools, especially the Louisiana schools. We don’t need to fall behind the Texas money any further than they already have and they’re already taking losses to them.

No, otherwise there wouldn't have been any need to worry about tiebreakers involving Incarnate Word. If Nicholls loses next week, Incarnate Word will get the Automatic Bid for the Southland.
