What’s crazy is that Navy is probably the best team out of all of them

Navy is also a unique school and fan base. They play at South Bend every other year, so the experience isn’t unique to their small fan base.
Navy also plays their home games against ND all over the place, from San Diego to Ireland. So, the more unique experience in the rivalry is probably one of the Navy “home” games.

What a freakin croc.BTW,UGA was scheduled to play at UCLA in '80s (after UCLA played in Athens)but they cancelled because the couldn't return the financial guarantee.BTW Ohio State and UGA scheduled a home and home in '15 and '16 but the Buckeyes cancelled.

UGA always plays a neutral site game every year along with a OOC
home and home every year (GT) leaves little flexibility with your schedule if you want to have 6 or more home games a year.

Uga spent 35 years, that's not a crock., From the 70s to the 2000s before traveling.

UGA is so infamous for not traveling that Stewart Mandel took the UGA helmet to bars in Montana and asked them what school it was and they all said Grambling.

Congrats on being insular, nobody outside the South knows you.

His point being, UGA is the most regional so called big boy in America. It's big in the South, but from decades of not traveling, it's not known anywhere else.

And 70 miles away from Gainesville.

Wasn't really the point anyway you freakin dumbass.Do you not understand a annual neutral site game takes away a home game every year and limits the flexibility on scheduling home and homes outside the conference?

they want to move away from the navy rivalry so getting this out in the media starts that discussion

They'll never cancel that one.

First, it's usually a guaranteed win.

Second, it was the US Navy that leased Notre Dame's campus for pilot training during WWII; at the time the school was in such financial straits that closure was almost a given had the Navy not stepped in. That's how the rivalry got started and the schools have agreed to play each other in perpetuity.

What the hell is this nonsense? I am pretty sure just about everyone now has a television and the internet. People know who Georgia is.

Point being, UGA is the perfect counter point in this thread. The anti-barnstorm. The anti play anyone, anywhere.

The ying to the yang of Notre Dame.

LMAO! So a team is not known unless it "travels"You really think this 1963?

Who exactly was playing in two of highest rated games in '17? LINK How bout the highest rated in 18? LINKHow bout the 2nd and 6th highest rated games this year ?Regional?
GTFO!

Did you ever happen to see Florida's schedule over the same time period and wonder why they did almost the same? Do you not understand how scheduling works?

UF was in the exact same circumstance as UGA,a annual neutral site game along with a home and home with a in state OOC opponent. Do you not see how that limits your home games and REVENUE[quote]It's big in the South, but from decades of not traveling, it's not known anywhere else
?

Who exactly does OSU play every year OOC and in -state and where is your annual neutral site game?

Once a 12th game was added UGA was more than happy to travel to OOC sites INCLUDING OSU who cancelled BTW.

If you ever visited Notre Dame, Indiana, you'd know why they make so many travel arrangements.

Should have sucked it up and just joined the B1G. At least they would have kept the rivalries with Purdue, Sparty and Meatchicken (I know they played this season)

I’m sure there were some games in there where they pretended to have a sellout, but really didn’t have one.

Dude, Florida has played one non-conference game outside the state of Florida since 2008, and it was a Neutral Site game against Michigan in Dallas. Georgia has gone west 3 times (Notre Dame, Colorado, and Oklahoma State) in that same time frame.

Those Florida schools are the ones that don't venture out. Hell, Florida has played 1 true road non-conference game in the last 28 years (at Syracuse in 1991).
