My fellow LSU fans.

We lost 2 (yes, 2) games and got into the national title game in 2007. Goodness gracious.

So you are telling me LSU wasn't lucky to beat Ole Miss this past weekend? Or wasn't lucky to beat Bama in Ttown last year? Does LSU ever get lucky?

Where did he say that? All teams get lucky, but people gloss over it with Saban and Bama. This is the 2nd year in a row Bama gets bailed out by crazy upsets. LSU did it once. If LSU and Bama win out both will be 35-5 over the last 3 years. Yet everyone will say Miles a lucky idiot but Saban has gotten more lucky breaks.

How are they backing in???They have won every game on the schedule except one. Just like Oregon and K-state.

Because they needed other teams to lose in order to get in. They can lose and still get in, teams like Oregon and KSU have to go undefeated, but unlike Bama, they could go undefeated and get left out.

Why not?

They have the most experience at it...

This happens all the time.

There is a reason for this. However K-State and Oregon would NOT have been passed by Bama had they stayed unbeaten,If LSU was in Bamas spot everyone on here would NOT be using the term"backing in".

yes, they have a bigger name and get the benefit of the doubt that non traditional powers don't. And yes the same applies to LSU.

That's the point. Bama gets a 2nd chance that they don't. If all 3 were undefeated Bama would be in and one of the others would be out. With 1 loss Bama can still get in, but UO and KSU don't have that chance.

So? That doesn't change the fact that it would be backing in. This just in, lots fans are hypocrites. Last year they argued eyeball test for Bama since SOS favored OSU. This year, if it comes down to it, they will argue SOS for Florida over Oregon because that favors Florida.

Bama plays a much tougher schedule than The Ducks or K-state does. Its a simple fact.

really? We should pay attention to a quote from a character that blew his brains out because of the economy?

KState/Oregon/ND were going to back into the championship game with Alabama's loss to A&M. Everyone's backing their way into everything!

Notre Dame defeated everyone in front of them. That is not luck.

No, they really don't, but you just think that because they are in the SEC and well the SEC is the best. Look there are 5 SEC teams in the top 5. Nevermind that we only play 8 SEC games, so you miss 5 teams. Bama only played 2 of those top 10 teams and only beat 1 of them.

Last year Bama beat 3 FBS teams with a winning record in the regular season (Ark 10-2, PSU 9-3, Auburn 7-5). OSU beat at least 6. This year both them and UGA missed all the good teams in the opposite division. They go 1-1 vs the good teams in the West for the 2nd year in a row but at least this year, they will have to play 1 good team from the East.

No, going undfeated is not "backing" in, you've just admitted the deck is stacked in Bama's favor. Being born on 3rd is not the same as hitting a triple.

ETA: and we are also seeing that SEC fans will use what ever argument favors the SEC team. Last year it was eyeball test, this year its SOS and amazingly, despite getting all the breaks, many still bitch that the "media" is out to get the SEC.

How did Georgia end up with such a terrible schedule this year? I just now noticed they're behind Stanford in the computers

Just like Bama, their cross division rival, that they must play every year or the world will end, sucks arse and they avoided the other good teams, LSU, A&M from the West. Not surprised that Stanford has a better SOS.
